I was expecting to come to a latin club as the description indicates, so was completely surprised to find there was nothing latin about it when we arrived. I wasn’t dead set on a latin experience so I didn’t mind, but I just found it surprising and humourous that it was pitched as a latin spot. This was a full out college bar, average age range was 18-22. Corresponding to this – the drinks are cheap. Although it is a very limited bar. The bartenders are great though. Fun club, long line and cramped inside but overall a great atmosphere. However, nothing could've prepared me for the outrageous rudeness and unprofessionalism of the bartenders. They will snarkily remind you to 'a 15% tip is customary' (15% is the lowest option offered when paying) after pouring you a $6 shot. A short male bartender attempted to convince me that "tipping is legally required in Quebec", and grabbed the machine from me to press 15%. When I refused to be strongarmed into giving him money, he grabbed my arm as I walked away after paying and physically held me back to inform me I would no longer be served that night. Went there for the first time yesterday, friday night, the place was cramped. The bouncers were nice, but there weren’t any coat checks or hangers so we had to hide them in the booths, which I don’t recommend but lots of people do. Good music, the drinks are pretty cheap and the bartenders are sympathetic. Lotsssss of weirdos though, if you’re 2-3 girls you’ll def need to defend yourself at some point.
