I am very sad to write this review because I actually have enjoyed the coffee here. I have medical service dog, but I understand that Montreal is especially strict on dogs and businesses can get hefty fines for letting dogs in, so I always take the precaution and inform/ask before coming in. I recently went in with my dog, which is clearly marked by a bright vest, and had also made sure with the barista coming in that it was ok, that I had the documentation and this was not a pet. I was in the shop less than 3min before the owner almost physically pushes me out and says « you need to leave », when all I was doing was waiting for my coffee with my dog by my feet. When I repeated what I had said to the barista, he proceeded to interrogate me with questions that are against the law, like what is your medical conditions and what does your dog do. I completely understand if the owner/workers have questions and want to see documentation but never have I felt so unwelcome and singled out for having a medical condition. I have taken my dog everywhere for the past 7 years (including internationally) and this has NEVER happened to me. I completely understand the concerns and that is why I always take extra precautions, but treating people (especially clients) like this is never acceptable. I cannot support a business that treats people (with medical conditions!!!) this way and I will not...

A Google search turns up plenty of photos and reviews of delicious-looking sandwiches. I had, I thought, done my homework: I consulted the Facebook page (still looks like a sandwich shop, admittedly with no photos of sandwiches from 2017), the Campanelli website (of the "new site coming soon" variety restaurants are fond of these days), and looked through other relevant information on Google. Obviously it's impossible to retroactively remove photos and reviews from third-party sites if your menu changes, but for the love of God, if the basic premise of your business changes, you should be responsible for finding an accessible channel to make this as clear as possible. Good night...
Read moreThe little blue espresso machine is what brought us into Campanelli but we walked out with more than just a phenomenal latte. The delightful smell of sandwiches tickled our hunger - two sandwiches created by the owner with care that had the perfect balance of quality ingredients that let everything breath but yet meld together in a dining experience that will leave you speechless.
The decor is rustic and historic with a nice tribute to the owners grandfather in the entrance.
I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone that loves sandwich or food made with love and care. If there is not room to dine-in check out the park half a block away or the canal 5...
