As an experienced griot lover, I can say hands down this place makes the dish with love. It seems they fry the griot right before serving opposed to other places that leaves it in a heated bin. Also note that the pikliz consist of less carrot than what I am used to, it’s actually really good and the spice has a nice kick to it as it should be. The banane peze is good like many other places. What really surprised me was their macaroni salad, usually I do not eat Haitian macaroni because the cheese taste way too much like cream. This place nailed it. I would have loved to have more of this macaroni. Finally, the griot is made by a real chef with a degree. It makes a difference. He also came to ask us how is the griot (still unusual to see an Asian enjoying griot) and even offered me the whole jar of Pikliz! This is the place I will go to to eat griot from now on.🙏 P.s. wonder if this place will serve Joumou soup during the Holidays.

Used to order from this place. the food is amazing. However, after a few orders, I noticed they started skimping on the meat portion and putting in lot of bones instead. I'd order some chicken empanadas, they'd either gave me the wrong kind or/and incorrect numbers... the meat I used to order was goat Had a phone interaction with them and was not impressed by the service, was told I was yelling when I was not. Pointed out to them that customers are unable to request an order from Uber eats and was told to contact Uber Eats to report it...it's their store not mine

I ordered “clearly” at the counter today that I want POUTINE CREOLE with chicken. The lady goes in and brings rice with potatoes and charges me 24$. I asked when it’s 13$ why she’s charging high. She said the price is different but I asked for poutine de poulet. Then I had to take it because short of time. She said with or without salad it 24$. Like no where in Montreal a rice with a piece of chicken and two potatoes costs 24$. Very bad service and the food is ok. Demanding a response from the manager.

I have known Hans and Kenny for a few years now.

Every single time I have had the pleasure of enjoying anything they've prepared, my palate litterally started singing, and the melody lasted a few hours. I always ensure I have leftovers, and then, in the middle of the night, I smile again, thinking of lunchtime the next day.

I have been lucky enough to experience their wonderful, unique taste of the Caribbean and beyond catering spreads, whether at private parties, weddings, corporate events, and yes, funerals, with such empathy and understanding. Their culinary talents are associated with attention to detail and the sincere desire to make the host look good, in a calm and serene atmosphere. No need to stress. They always smile, and if necessary will gently bring you back to your guests while they take care of everything else.

No wonder I am one loyal customer! You get to choose: De Castelneau or Charleroi location: highly recommended ! Thank you guys for today: You did it again...

This place is a hidden gem and I would recommend to everyone if you are around the area. This restaurant serves the community around and give you an idea how an authentic Haitian cuisine taste like. I was there yesterday and discovered this place on a random walk. I ordered a beef patty for a take out but would definitely try to eat at this place next time. The beef patty was tasty, chewy and had great flavour. Also, the owner was very friendly and accommodating (Kantz) Thus, don’t be shy for a chit/chat. 🙂

Remind you that this place is more like a take out but you have spaces to seat and eat inside.

Essayer, c est l adopter! Try it and you will love...
