We went here for dinner last night, my mother my husband and I. The restaurant was not busy at all, and you can literally count the people there, which on a Saturday night should have been a red flag. I also overheard some of the staff say that they had a lot of cancellations last minute. Our waiter was nice, he answered any questions we had. To start, my husband and mother ordered the onion soup. They both enjoyed that. My mother also got the calamari, and here is where it took a turn for the worse. Calamari was chewy and oily, and some pieces were undercooked. Which now explains why my mother was up all night vomiting. My husband ordered the meat sandwich with fries. His fries were cold and did not taste good. He ate the sandwich but then later was stuck in the bathroom for over 20 minutes with stomach pains. My meal was just ok. I ordered the BBQ chicken with Monterey Jack cheese and a side of mash, but it did not arrive hot and I did not eat all of it. At the end of it all, my mom did mention to our waiter about the undercooked calamari, and he responded by saying it’s better the calamari be slightly undercooked then over cooked and too crispy. Maybe we should have also mentioned the other things but by the waiters first response about the calamari we knew that further complaining was not going to get us anywhere. So hopefully this review will? There was also no mention of possibly taking the cost of the calamari off the bill for the inconvenience. All in all, two out of the three of us got sick from the food. Spent 120$ and definitely was not worth it and will not be...
Read moreWent there last Saturday night for a multi bday supper. We were 7 people. Our waiter Nick was great! The restaurant itself is not bad. It's just as soon as it's running a bit by amateur lights are a bit bright. There's no atmosphere. The staff looks dishambled and non-professional. The food was good. The meat was very tender. We all had prime rib so it was tender but it's just. The presentation was a bit amateur as well and it's not bad like you could go eat there. I would go back. I guess I wouldn't suggest it but if somebody said they were going to eat that the fire grill I'd say okay. What the heck you know so it's not that bad Cure and around the Phil St. Lawrence you can go try it out. Prices bit pricey. Service was okay. We had a great waiter Nick. Luckily we had Nick cuz if you looked at the other people working there it left the mind to wonder. Also the parking outside sucks you have to park your car like next to the building and it was raining and windy that night. So by the time we got in everyone's hair was up in the air. You can't drive up to the door and drop somebody off. You have to park far. That's it. It's terrible unless there was a side door I don't know about but I don't believe so. Yeah so I wouldn't recommend it you know but if you have to go because everyone else is going, go for it. Try the prime rib it was good. It's in the SphereTech on Cote vertu Go try it out and write what you...
Read moreI went there yesterday with 3 friends to celebrate the birthday of my best friend. We started with the fish platter and garlic bread as entrees. The Tuna Tataki was so damn good, never had any served that way. The garlic bread too was very good with the Monterey Jack cheese on top but far too greasy. Next, 2 ordered a burger, birthday boy ordered a club sandwahich and I got the wild mushroom pesto. My dish was creamy and delicious and portions were very generous. In terms of the decor, the restaurant had such a nice and cozy cabin vibe. There was even one wall covered with large leather tiles. I think those two aspects mentionned above deserve a good 4 1/2 stars. The service however probably deserves none. I had asked the servers if anything could be done for the birthday boy to celebrate. Well she waited till one of us was gone to the bathroom and then brings in an icecream with a candle on top. No happy birthday song, not even a wish or a smile on her face. Just threw the cup nonchalently and left. Obviously we were so struck that the two others on the table took time to recover before they got into the spirit to sing anything. At the end, we also ordered creme brulee and a brownie. The creme brulee was disappointing and the brownie had too much coffee in it that it ruined the chocolate flavor I was craving. My suggestion, get your entrees and main dish there but skip...
