An absolutely deplorable dining experience! My dad and I went here today, and ordered two caesar salads to start off with- right from the get go, the salads did not have the bacon bits that are typically found at other Mikes locations. Then, we had an all-dressed pizza with one extra addition, slices of steak on top of the pizza; most people won't remember this, but this actually used to be the Mikes Special back in the day. Regardless, it shouldn't be that complicated for any current server who is unfamiliar with Mikes history; you just take a standard all-dressed pizza, and add some slices of sub steak on top. Instead, what we got was something that looked closer to the Philly Steak pizza (minus the green shallots that appear on the photo). We then indicated that this is not what we ordered, and our server seemed totally confused. So, what they did was take whatever pizza they (incorrectly) made us, added some pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, some additional cheese to make it stick, and put it back in the oven; they didn't go through the trouble of making us a new pizza, especially given that they were the ones that screwed up. As you might expect, what came out was an overly dried-out, crispy, tasteless pizza. Our server repeatedly tried to explain how and/or why she misunderstood our order, rather than push the kitchen to make a fresh pizza, or push management to comp our order, which further soured the dining experience; all the while, she neglected to refill our drinks, which were badly-needed when trying to scarf down a very dry pizza. I won't be returning to this...
Read moreThe service was very bad, the waitress didn’t specify anything about the menu, I chose the “Tu es le chef” dish (~16$, regular portion) which was written that you can choose your kind of pasta and the sauce that you wanted and under it, it also said that there was chicken with it but it didn’t specify that if you wanted chicken that you had to pay more so in the end I ended up paying 20$ for it and the waitress only told me about it when I asked her and had to pay. Also, when she served me the dish, there was broccoli in it and she didn’t even ask me if I wanted it when I ordered it. She only asked me if “it’s ok”that there was brocoli after serving it to me. Fortunately, I didn’t really mind so I told her “it’s ok” but I could imagine someone who doesn’t like brocoli to complain about it. Finally, after all this trouble I didn’t want to tip her since the service was very bad but she said that she has to pay taxes and stuff so she forced me to tip her 10% of the bill which I was really uncomfortable with. I did end up tipping her but I will...
Read moreI called in for a delivery order with clear instructions not to ring my door because my son was sleeping and has fever. Not only did the driver ring, he told me he was never advised of this, and I was also missing an item I was charged for on my bill.
I called the restaurant back and the proposed solution was to wait another 45m for my sauce to arrive, do you think the fries would be warm if I were to wait that long? Do you think I want to take the chance for my son to have to be woken up AGAIN!? He claimed to have given the instruction to the driver but obviously one of the two is lying.
He mentioned he will give a credit but that I would have to call back tomorrow to speak with the "boss"... Do you not think I have better things to do? I asked for the "boss'"' number and was told I can't have it.
So here I am having to tip 15% for an incomplete order and my son son screaming in my ears for 30m, just in time for all my food to be cold... Oh and an extra call to make tomorrow to hear...
