Gerry's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Montreal

the food is good. but the service was bad this time unfortunately. I usually order during the day and have no problems but this time ordered at night. I had ordered a side of brown sauce with my regular order , the person on the phone reminded me it'd cost more which I approved of. They called me back because they had gotten the wrong address somehow (which is ok it happens). My order did not come with the brown sauce though. when I called to rectify the error the person on the phone claimed I was being rude when I asked where the sauce was and claimed that I had yelled at her when I placed my order (most likely thought this because I had called to order while i was outside walking back home) . They said it'd take 10 minutes for the sauce to come, but it came 45 minutes later when my sandwhich and fries were cold and we all know re-heated fries arent good ! They even sent a different driver i believe to try to intimidate me when they finally brought the sauce and he said and I quote "If you were less rude and didn't yell the sauce would've came faster". Im disappointed in my service because I informed them my wife suffers from a mental disorder and she can be picky with food, so if I place an order a certain way she expects it to be that way otherwise she wont eat and she barely did eat last night she was so upset about how I...

My girlfriend have a crazy obsession with Chinese macaroni (which I’m pretty sure has nothing to do with China, totally a québécois delicacy) for some reasons related to nostalgia. So it’s one of the only delivery service that offer that dish! I was sceptical of the restaurant to beginning with because I watch to many Kitchen Nightmare episodes and when a restaurant offer Chinese, Greek, Italian and Canadian food on the the same menu it’s rarely a good sign. It’s a sign that everything’s gonna suck and it sure did! It brings me back to a time when my great grandparents knew nothing about spices and seasonings to provide the most blend recipes of all time. It took an hour to deliver a flavourless pricey meal (65$ for two meals and a very small starter). The overall experience tasted like hospital cafeteria food. Avoid it...

Smoke meat was amazing BUT! Everything else was... Well not that good. Coleslaw was really garbage, fries were so so.. nothing special at all. Pickles came in a zip lock bag, i wonder why. I liked the bread with mustard, good amount of mustard. I bought the plate meal, it cost me pretty much $25. I felt it was worth less than that but hey, at least the smoke meat was really really good.

The Haitian girl serving us on the take out side was super nice and friendly, wonderful service. She was much better than anyone else we encountered there. Maybe it was just a long day for the rest of the staff.
