I went to this salon for a hair cut. I asked for my hair to be layered and trimmed into a V shape at the end. The lady was initially going to cut my hair without washing it. I had to ask her to wash it before cutting. When she was drying and cutting my hair she kept tugging on it when there was a knot. Rather than trying to comb out the knot. She had the hair dryer super close to my head that I felt like my head was burning. This happened at least 3 times. When she was trying to clip my hair with a hair clip she just shoved it in regardless if there was hair. When she cut my hair, it was not how I asked for it to be cut. It was as if she cut it randomly. The ends of my hair was super blunt. My bangs were initially straight and when she tried to curl it, it became frizzy. My hair cut was not even. I was so upset I had to ask her to stop cutting my hair and left. Why did I not ask her to fix it further? I did not want to subject myself to her tugging and burning my scalp. I am fortunate to have long hair and I will be able to seek out another salon to fix it. If I had let her to continue to cut it then the next person would have nothing to work with. Mind you, I’ve had this haircut for almost my entire life. I have had many different people cut it. I got haircut here two times before with Lily and I was totally happy. But, this time there was another lady there who spent almost an hour washing and blowing out my hair instead of cutting!!!! And because of that I paid $10 more than the previous times with Lily. Actually it was like she does not know how to cut hair and instead she was filling time with washing and drying hair. At the end I got a terrible, uneven hair cut which was not at all even similar to what I asked her. And the worst part is when I go back again today and showed them how terrible is the haircut their colleague gave me; they told me you should do it again with the same lady otherwise they will charge me again! I've been coming here since the mid-90's. I like that I can walk in without an appointment and they' re always willing to take me. My girlfriend has never had a problem getting her hair colored & cut without an appointment either. But we liked it better when Sam was working. Now he's never around whenever we come in. They have other female stylists. Although they're very nice women, their cutting skills aren't as good as Sam's. My girlfriend will only come in to get her hair colored, but she'll go somewhere else to get it cut.
