When the guacamole arrived — a scoop of poorly spiced avocado for 12 dollars — we knew the meal was doomed. Unfortunately, the tacos weren’t much better — grizzled meat and bland flavors. The restaurant, a new place on the Plateau, is trying to please — a lovely server bought a complimentary bean soup. But the soup was burned and tasted off. The one bright spot was a not unpleasant taco birria. The salsas were also nice. The staff is also friendly and enthusiastic. I hope this place succeeds. Read moreWe were 3 people. My friend ordered the vegetarian option. One of the tacos had meat mixed in it by mistake which is unacceptable for a vegetarian person. My other friend ordered the Carnitas option which was full of mushy pork fat and almost no meat. I ordered the La Reina option and thought it was a joke when I noticed the "sausage" in it was just tasteless cut hot dogs.
