I'm everything but a newbie to Indian Food. I live in Park-Ex and there are countless of Indian Restaurants, I have eaten at places such as Sana, 786, Maison Indian Curry, Bombay Mahal, India's Oven, Salateen and many more. I can say without any doubt that Samosa Express is hands down the best among all of them, especially the quality of food you get for the price, I think it's a hidden gem when it comes Indian Food in Montreal. The best highlight of this restaurant is the Thali Mixte, an explosion of flavors for only $15. You get a fluffy Naan, Chicken Butter, Chana Masala, Tandoori Chicken Leg, Onion Bhadji, Sheesh Kabab, Samosa, Salad, Rice and Gulab Jamun. Their Vindaloo, Karahi and Achari dishes are also heaven! Another + for this restaurant is their consistency which seems to be an issue with other Indian Restaurants. Every time I come here, I get the same flavors, freshness and quality. This is a 5-star restaurant in my book and they deserve the time I have taken to write...

NEVER EVERRRR ORDER LAMB FROM HERE.... NEVER!!!!!!

Today I went there for lunch with my family after seeing 4+ stars and infact told the lady that we are here for the first time. The lady seems a bit unwelcoming to me, not smiling not greeting (may be that's her personality-no worries). We ordered lamb acahri, it took so long to come and finally when it was served, gravy was okay but the meat (lamb) was toooo smelly, may be they need to change there meat vendor ir the cooking style. It was really inedible for me, after the first bite could not eat it at all. After gathering the courage, I told the lady who served us that I could not eat it because of too much of smell. She seemed so rude, didn't say a word after my feedback, not empathetic enough to tell it to owner or manager to At least serve me something to eat. I believe Chef was informed about that but he didn't even bother to do...

I visited Samosa Express recently and was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my experience. The cleanliness of the establishment was top-notch, reflecting a commitment to hygiene and quality. The food was of exceptional quality, bursting with delicious flavors that left me craving for more. The customer service was outstanding, with friendly staff members who were attentive and accommodating. Despite the high quality and excellent service, the prices were very reasonable, offering great value for the delicious food. Overall, Samosa Express exceeded my expectations in every way and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars...

The place is clean, accessible for wheelchair, and is super close to the metro. There is no (when I was there) music playing to distract you. Now the review. I don't know if its my face but I'm yet to encounter a nice, polite server at any Indian restaurant in Montreal. I read a lot about a couple of servers here who other patrons seem to love but they were nowhere to be seen. Ours was curt to the point of being rude. Ordered palak paneer and naan and its the best veggie food Ive had in Montreal yet. It was perfect. No sweetness and definitely no 'filler' curries they use for volume. The paneer was fresh too. Will try their non-veg fare next time.

As the name mentions, Best samosa that you can have in MTL, this place has amazing Indian cuisine, spiciness level can be changed as per the order.. my personal tried and tasted recommendations from this place: 1) Veg Samosa 2) Chana Samosa 3) Fish Korma 4) Shahi Paneer 5) Mix Thali- brings veg and Non veg in same plate along with Tandoori and Kabab. 6) Fish Pakora 7) Fish curry 8) Chicken Thali 9) Veg Thali 10) Naan bread - softest naan you can think of.. 11) Mango Lassi. The menu is much bigger than I can afford to taste.. 5 stars 🤩 attaching pics of Chana Samosa and fish curry with naan bread.

It's an ok place. Not as good as the ones on Jean Talon but close enough. Pricing as well is a bit higher compared to those ones. Naan bread is bigger than usual though but more expensive as well, except regular naan which is priced ok. Vegetarian Thali is pretty good. If you are in a hurry for Indian and are around is more than decent. Else, drive 10 more minutes and try Jean Talon & Acadie corner. There are a few better ones, better taste and cheaper. As well...they are Bring Your Own Booze. No alcool serving at this place. Verdict : give it a try.
