Maui Poke+Café — Restaurant in Montreal

I was tempted to try it out having passed by the restaurant many times and seeing the reviews. We were truly excited to dive into our meals as the packaging and presentation was great! However, this doesn't come to a close tie to the quality and taste of the food. We were truly disappointed. The chicken Katsu lacks in terms of crisp and the salmon wasn't fresh. The rice being the main focus of the meal, didn't stand out, tasted old. All in all, the freshness wasn't there and the sauce did not carry pungent flavors like most places we have tried. We also ordered out their mango/orange smoothie. It has more of a juice consistency, so this is something to be considered. I would have loved to give this place a second chance given their overall service and packaging, but the food experience was totally disappointing and convincing enough to never give it another...

Finally a poke restaurant that doesn't drench their rice in mayo and 2 cups of sugar!! The portion was very good, balance of all the ingredients to rice was very good, all the ingredients were fresh, and most importantly, it was super delicious!
