Read moreI’m a graduating student. I had gone here with my friends before completing some community service hours for my school. We have been here many times before. We had quite a bit of time to spare before the event, and spent around $115 on food.
After about 2 and a half hours, I was surprised to see a lady come up behind us. She had told us rather standoffishly that our “30 minutes were up”, and pointed at a sign. I could understand this rule, but the establishment was rather empty. While I can see this rule useful for busy hours and disturbances, we were not causing any problems. There were actually a few people there who were making more noise than us (her included), as well as being there for the same amount of time, who did not get told this. I found it to be really rude. Especially since students make up a percentage of your profits, it would be a shame if this unwelcoming atmosphere led us to go to different places. It is quite baffling to me that a large number of other establishments, like Starbucks, encourage their customers to study, and chat, but I have a time limit to eat a meal. After waiting 20 minutes to get it. The ice machine was broken and the kiosks didn’t give out receipts.
I’m on many job-finding apps, and I see that this place struggles to find staff. Unfortunately, your rude behaviour towards the customers, and employees is the reason why you are understaffed. I never met someone who worked here who didn’t recommend that I work at a different McDonald's. P.S. The lady who hands out orders at the front is the only saving grace of this place, and has helped me many times. Oct 9th,...
Read moreI moved to this area two years ago, and even my children have grown to hate this McDonald’s. They ask to go to the McDonald’s in the next neighbourhood because they see how frustrating it is for me each time. It’s now a running family joke, that they are going to get our order wrong… And they consistently consistently do. we’ve been given someone else’s order… we’ve gone as far as ordering ie cream in the drive thru, paying for ice cream at the first window, just to get to the second window, and be told that their ice cream machine is broken… we’ve been give our drive thru order, and had to go back in for missing items.
Tonight, placing the order was the most frustrating thing: I asked for two hamburger, happy meals, with chocolate milk. The guy asked if I wanted sprite. I repeated chocolate milk… and then in French (lait au chocolat)… he repeated types of fountain pops. I then finally got through to him that I wanted milk and he said they don’t have any. When I begrudgingly said I will take water instead, he continued to list the types of fountain pops… I then said, de l’eau. To which he asked if I wanted Coke Zero. At this point, I almost drove off, but he then, miraculously, could hear me just fine.
When I went to pay, they repeated my order back to me. It was all correct. So reassuring.
In the end, I drove home to find out I got 1 hamburger happy meal, and one chicken...
