Visited for the first time on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I had seen something on Instagram in regards to their release of the barrel aged stouts and I knew I needed to make the trek. I was not disappointed and in fact, I will definitely be visiting again - and again - and again. After a long walk from Verdun - I for some reason couldn't triangulate the location in my brain - I finally arrived, to pretty much my old stomping grounds. I realized I could have taken the 36 bus and walked down through the park and across the bridge. Alas, it was a nice day and I earned my drinks. I arrived, and entered a doorway into a large mess hall of sorts, with plenty of seating and spaces for socializing and relaxing. This area also has a retail space and the large counter to order your drinks. Before I even started exploring I ordered the #29, a barrel aged stout that was unbelievably delicious and unctuous, coating the sides of the glass. They only serve half sizes of this one because it is rather high in alcohol. I walked through the covered terrace and outside, it was still March chilly but the sunshine was spectacular. There are picnic tables and Adirondack chairs throughout and plenty of people were already enjoying the warmer weather. After a while, it does get a little chilly so I gathered up and went inside. So many kids! It felt like a daycare - and a lifeline for parents/guardians. I loved the energy and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time, either in couples, groups and families. Truly a space for everyone. I had 2 more delicious drinks, spoke with a few people. Just a fabulous place. I highly recommend.

REAL DEAL HOLYFIELD. WOW WOW WOW. This beer garden, snack shop, and brewery is among if not the top-tier. It is the bar in Montreal that other places could only dream to emulate. If you're a fan of sour beers, smoothie beers, and IPAs, this spot is hard to parallel. ESPECIALLY FRESH OFF THE TAPS. Now, if you're planning to head down with a crew. You better get there danm early or be prepared to wait or stand. The place packs fast, and it rocks from start to close. The line never died down even a little bit while we were there for 2 hours. It's kid friendly and welcoming. We saw a bunch of people with dogs. Really awesome vibes are going on. The music selection was on point, too I didn't get any pictures of the food onto my post because my girls smashed it quickly (they were hungry sue me!). The food was definitely less memorable than, say, the IPA slush. We had popcorn chicken, fries, and tacos. But let's say you're on the terrace for a couple of hours, taking in the rays and saturating yourself in some cripsy hopped beverages. That snack shop will 100000% cure what ales you!! A must terrace visit this summer in MTL.

Great space in a somewhat awkward location to get to from Downtown if you can't drive. The beer selection can be a little lacking in diversity, generally ranging just through various styles of IPAs, but you can sometimes find stouts on the menu also. The beers they do have are highly reputed, and do earn their reputation well. Menu is reasonably priced, with a somewhat expensive merch room and an expensive can shop which sells out very quickly, although partially caused by the trader scene. Would recommend visiting at least once if you're able to travel here - you can also see a live update of the current state of their constantly updating tap menu on their website, so be sure to check it out before you go.

First of all this is a super nice area and vibe as soon as you get there with a nice mix of industrial meets brewery meets snack back with the food counter! Lovely vibe when the lights turn on over the "terrace" area. Ordered the spicy chicken burger along with the fried calamari on a bed of caesar salad along with a beer. Came around 50$ tip included which can be a bit steep. The spicy burger was not really spicy at all but very tasty. The salad had a few calamari here and there but was pretty disappointing, especially for 15$. The calamari mostly tasted like a breaded fried flavored and nothing else. Their brews were amazing though and absolutely loved the diffetent flavors they had

I’m a pretty big sour beer fan. When we walked into Messorem, I was immediately sold by the atmosphere and the open space. Then we had the Raspberry Vanilla Smoothie Sour and the IPA with Lactose and we were sold on it being our new favourite brewery - the le petit jus de mort is now my new favourite beer ✨ They also had a slushie IPA which was quite interesting. Traditional gose was one of the best I’ve had also. The food is good but greasy. Long wait on the holiday, and despite ample seating people were waiting to find a place to sit. A great hangout for cyclists.

Great atmosphere and even better drinks! Love the slush mixes and sours they often have on tap. Went there with a group and ordered most of the menu. Popcorn chicken was amazing, and the pickle salad was surprisingly good, and a decent size to share. Only pain (depending on who is behind bar) is that I’ve gotten a beer a couple times now that was not full. Glass would be like 75% filled. If that’s a specific size of the beer ordered, either indicate to patron or get some smaller glasses for those. But other than that this is a summer favourite!
