A Deeply Disappointing Experience — A Sharp Contrast from Our First Visit
Just a few weeks ago, we had an outstanding experience at this restaurant, thanks to Mohammed, who provided exceptional service and made our visit truly memorable. That positive experience prompted us to return within two weeks, full of anticipation. Unfortunately, what awaited us this time was an evening marked by frustration and disappointment.
We arrived around 6 PM on Thanksgiving Day, understanding it would be busy. Still, we were shocked at the complete lack of basic hospitality. Mohammed was handling the kitchen alone, while a front-of-house staff member—whose name, I believe, is Nouraz—was managing the floor. We were left unattended for over 15 minutes, with no greeting, no water, no acknowledgment of our presence. Eventually, my partner had to go to the counter just to place our order.
Though we understand delays in service on a busy day, the indifference and negligence displayed were unacceptable. After our seafood boil (shrimp and mussels) was brought out, it wasn’t even accompanied by a basket—a basic necessity for this type of dish. There was zero effort made to check in on us or ensure we had what we needed.
We also observed other concerning incidents. A family seated next to us received crab cakes and fries—without any cutlery. Again, basic etiquette was ignored. Around 6:20 PM, a group of three arrived and stood at the entrance for several minutes without being acknowledged or greeted. The dismissiveness was hard to overlook—and frankly, it began to feel personal. The lack of attention felt discriminatory, and that’s something no guest should ever have to experience.
Eventually, a second staff member was called in. Her demeanor was completely different—warm, attentive, and efficient. She immediately began assisting customers with professionalism and care. Mohammed, once he had a moment, came out and personally apologized for the delay. That gesture was appreciated.
To be clear: the food, as always, was excellent. The issue was never the wait time—it was the attitude, indifference, and lack of fundamental service standards from Nouraz that left a lasting negative impression.
Thanks to her, we’ll likely not return. It’s a shame that such good food is overshadowed by such poor...
Read moreIt was first time for me to eat seafood boils, it was simply mind blowing.
We were served by very warm and friendly Mohammed, such an incredible human; he explained us what to order and the way he served the food it was like a presentation!!! Kudos to Mohammed for such amazing customer service 👏
Based on his suggestions we ordered seafood boils(shrimp and mussels), and as always I asked to make it more spicy!! It was simply mind blowing. The portions were perfect for two persons; and I also ordered extra rice as I love to eat rice!!! Even the rice was delicious with the special butter sauce they give you!!!!
In addition we ordered crab cakes which came with fries. Fries were so good. Crab cakes were average in my opinion but once you mix it with the seafood boils sauce it enhances the taste.
Overall it was an wonderful experience; visit there, enjoy food and...
Read moreThe food was scrumptious. We got the "Grand Ocean", cajun fries and fried calamari. The seafood medley was really large. The cajun fries were delicious. I think the fried calamari could have been a bit more sumptuous....it was layered on a pyramid of French fries...The dining experience was interesting and unique with the food splayed out on the table. The only negative was that the service was not attentive and we had to keep going to the kitchen to get attention. However, since the food was so good we will...
