Pamplemousse Cafe — Restaurant in Montreal

I checked to see if my review was still up and it looks like they somehow removed it, however I’m petty enough to post it again.

When I arrived dirty dishes were covering every table in the restaurant. I was told to sit anywhere and they would take my order. After 20 minutes of sitting in front of fruit flies buzzing around someone’s leftovers, I left. I politely told someone who appeared to be the manager about the situation and she was very rude and dismissive. If this is how they treat the front of the house I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like. It wasn’t even that busy, the servers were mostly chatting with each other. I love this place. The coffee, the food, the music. If I lived in Montreal, I would go and buy their frozen food, too. I came here with my son and he had a croissant, and I had two fried eggs over medium on thick wheat bread and bacon. I shouldn't be eating bacon cause of my cholesterol so I gave it my son. I would like to give this five stars because the taste of the hot spicy tuna sandwich was wonderful. But there was not much tuna. I also ordered the hot smoked beef sandwich and it had a thickness of only one slice (three thin pieces non-overlapping). These are panini-ish, about 1" of bread, for about 1/32" of meat. And the smoked meat sandwich, contrary to the spicy tuna, had barely any taste at all, since there was so little inside. I would give this beef sandwich one...
