Came here because it had very good reviews and a simpler old world bakery feel. I had a 1/2 caffeine Americano w warm milk -delish, a chocolate eclair w chocolate creme center also delish, and an almond croissant.

Im something of an almond croissant fan ( double baked w lots of almonds, crispy buttery sweet but not too sweet). Their almond croissant is not the huge double baked jumbos Ive had but neither was their modest cost at an extremely very reasonable $3.85! vs other places charging $5.45- $5.95 for almond C’s not 1/2 as tasty as this one!

This almond C was not fresh out of the oven(had it Sunday late afternoon), even so it was excellent…very balanced w carmelized edges & just the right amount of a very flavourful inside filling…not way too much -too gummy nor oily pasty-nor under baked. No this croissant was so balanced in flavours, crunch to sweet butter -vanilla like flavors without oily fingers…La Tuile’rie’s was a flavour revelation vs many others almond C’s ive had. This one would still be great the next day or two after a light toast…unlike so many other almond C’s. This one is a clear flavour to texture winner and worthy of the 4.8 plus star rating. I was surprised that this bakery is relatively new here on Plat Mont Royal Ave. The baker owner came here from France and so the quality of the baking and tasty traditional bread I also bought, speak for themselves , using traditional...

Sadly one of the worst coffee's I've had in this city.

The 2 espressos we ordered were so weak that they tasted like coffee flavoured water. The Mocha my friend ordered tasted like sugar flavored water.

The lady working was very kind but I noticed that the coffee machine they had used coffee pods. Never have I ever seen a self-respecting cafe use coffee pods.

D’habitude je ne mets pas des mauvaises notes, mais désolée, aujourd’hui vous le méritez. Aujourd’hui, j’ai acheté seulement un éclair et tout suite après, dans l’auto, j’ai ouvert la boîte et j’ai vu qu’il avait une couleur bizarre pour du chocolat et il semblait plus avec du caramel. J’ai pris une bouchée et ça goûtait pas du tout le chocolat! Ça goûtait je ne sais pas, juste sucrée. La crème à l’intérieur (très pâle pour du chocolat en passant) non plus, n’avait aucun goût. Je me suis dit que peut-être c’était au caramel. J’ai réfléchi un peu si ça valait la peine d’y retourner pour demander et après avoir payé 6,49$ (avec taxes) j’ai décidé que oui. J’y ai retourné et ai demandé à la fille si c’était au caramel, elle m’a répondu que non, que c’était bien au chocolat. Je lui ai dit qu’il n’avait pas la couleur et encore moins le goût de chocolat et elle m’a dit que c’est comme ça leurs éclairs au chocolat. Quelle déception! Je lui ai dit que ce n’était pas bon et elle m’a jamais proposé une autre chose, un remboursement, rien. Je n’ai même pas raconté l’histoire à ma copine, je lui ai donné en disant être au chocolat, elle a pris une bouchée et a dit la même chose que ça ne goûte pas le chocolat. Je sais pas quelle sorte de chocolat que vous utilisez, mais je vous suggère de la changer, parce que ça fait dur.
