*Replying to the owner's response: Hi,
I don't want to take this matter too far, but you know really well that that's not my point. If, from the starting you would have taken the time to properly check my hair condition, I would have never done any highlights on my hair ! You warned me when I asked you about why the color looks so bad after bleaching my hair without my permission. And your million dollar excuse was my henna treated hair to cover your irresponsibility of not warning me to avoid highlights. So glad, I could reward this irresponsibility with 500$. If you "strive" to provide good service to your customers, than you should have genuinely advice me to not do any balayage or highlights. You just don't want to lose a single penny along with a customer. How would I know if it's impossible to get a balayage on henna-treated hair, if the hairstylists are not cooperating with me ?
And guys seriously, aren't you tired of lying ? When did your so "dedicated" hairstylist was showing me different hairstyle options instead of scrolling? In fact, I was the one who was showing you 2-3 reference pictures, and she got annoyed and didn't give a damn about my opinion? I wasn't even informed what shade she had chosen for my hair, can you believe that ?!
Anyways, I gained a lot of experience from your salon.
People like us who are excited to get a hair makeover trust your overrated reviews to spend our hard-earned money. I would like to give you guys a 0-star review. The colour was so badly done that I had to walk into the salon twice before ending up with further hair damage and disaster. I spent 500$ for NOTHING.
To begin, according to my salon experience, PROFESSIONAL stylists are supposed to check the hair before working with the hair. They didn’t even take the time to check my hair, didn’t provide me with a catalogue for colour shades and gave me an attitude just because I was showing 2-3 inspirational pics killed their patience.
I am extremely sorry to DISTURB your scrolling session Corina, but if you had taken more time to check that I had henna on my hair, you would have never done a balayage on my hair, right? At that time, I wasn’t sure if I could do highlights or balayage with henna dating over 8 months on my hair and I was waiting for professionals to advise me. How do you call this PROFESSIONALISM when you can’t properly check the hair or advise colour shades that meet my demands? They LIED to me because they wanted to earn extra bucks and didn’t want to lose a CUSTOMER. You guys BLEACHED my hair without taking my permission. Your fake smiles proved that something wrong was going on with my hair. I had to go to another renowned salon, where professionals said doing highlights or a balayage is impossible with henna hair.
Nevertheless, I gave the salon a second chance for free colour correction and layer cut. By the time I went home, I was shocked: my straight hair became curly under chemical damage. The haircut was so disastrous that I couldn’t recognize that I had a haircut and the color slowly degraded leaving my hair look even worse.
PLEASE DON'T PROVIDE SUCH UNETHICAL SERVICE TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT...
Read moreDoing my hair at this place was a nightmare! Maybe some had a great experience and see some did not just like me, but it was a total disaster after I washed my hair, so dry and not what I wanted. They are very good at making you believe it’s exactly a balayage, but it was not.
I contacted them multiple times on Messenger, sent pictures to ask if the first picture was achievable on my hair (second picture), but I got no response. So, I went there in person to ask. They assured me it was absolutely possible. The blonde girl kept asking me, “Is this your natural color? Is this your natural color?” Then she said, “Okay, be here on Friday at 6 PM, and you should be done by 9 PM.”
I arrived at exactly 6 PM on Friday. After waiting a bit, she didn’t even recognize me and asked, “Do you have an appointment?” I told her yes, reminding her that we had met the other day and showing her the picture again. She finally remembered and then assigned a guy to do my hair.
As he was working, she came to check and realized it was hard to bleach my hair. They applied a second layer of bleach, and I had it on my hair for two hours! My head felt so heavy from all the aluminum, and I started getting a headache from the bleach smell. I had always heard that bleach should stay on for a maximum of 30 minutes, but here I was, sitting with it for two hours.
Then, they started speaking in their language, and I could feel the tension. I asked, “Is everything all right? Why is this taking so long? Is it even safe for my hair to have bleach on for two hours?” The blonde girl said, “We’re having difficulty bleaching your hair, and because we didn’t use a high-volume concentration, it’s taking longer. Plus, you have a lot of hair.”
Duh!! Wasn’t all of this supposed to be considered in advance? Asian hair, thick hair—shouldn’t they have known?
I finally left at 11:30 PM when I was supposed to attend an event at 10 PM. I still paid because I was in a rush, but I will never go back there and do not recommend this place. Just a bunch of snobbish people who couldn’t deliver what I asked for. It’s obvious that the 1st picture (balayage) looks nothing like the third picture which are highlights (my hair after two months being at this salon)
Since then, my hair has been extremely dry. I have to use so much shampoo to wash it (hard to bubble because it’s extremely dry) and follow a strict hair care routine. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with my hair at the vogue salon in old-...
Read moreTwo weeks ago, I went to this salon to dye my black hair to a dark red. Before starting, they did a strand test which turned out fine, but then they told me my ends were “dead” and cut my hair extremely short — even though my hair was much longer before. I agreed to the cut because I really wanted the color.
They charged me $550, and after just one week, my hair completely changed color. It turned into an uneven ginger/orange, and different parts of my hair were different colors. I went back to the salon, and this time the owner was there. She looked at my hair and admitted it was bad, and told me she could fix it.
Even though I told her I no longer trusted their work because of how badly it was done, she promised to fix it. I also told her clearly that if the color changed again within a week, I would be coming back to ask for a refund — and she agreed.
Now it’s been one week again, and guess what? My hair is back to the same terrible uneven color. So I went back to the salon today — and the owner was completely different. She became rude, denied everything she had said before, and refused to give me a refund. While I was calmly trying to explain, she literally walked away, went into another room, and hid. She was even laughing and smiling the whole time, as if it was some kind of joke.
This place is a complete scam. I trusted them, paid a lot of money, and was treated with disrespect after they ruined my hair. I don’t recommend anyone go here — it’s not a professional salon. They overcharge, do a poor job, and treat their customers horribly when...
