My second visit. The first was 5 stars. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable. I booked through Resy and had a great time. Tonight was a different story. Had no reservation, walked in and sat on the terrace. Lovely beginning. Our Initial server was warm and friendly. I had a apériodique spritz and my daughter, a minor, had a lemonade. We started with carpaccio and staciatella . Our first server was busy inside, which is fine but our second server was abrupt and rude. Asked if we wanted another round of drinks and I asked for a spritz, she returned and told me no. That they don’t make those at this establishment like I had asked for something terrible. Made me feel like I should be embarrassed. The food runner brought out our food. Our server did not check in with us. The tables close to us she did speak to and check in on. She would look at us and then walk away. Our plates sat in front of us for a very long time. We Ordered the cassarecce with sausage and the Campanelle with lobster bisque and cherry tomatoes. There was absolutely no lobster in the pasta and barely even a scent of it in the bisque. Ridiculous for $37 dollars. I asked if we could have it wrapped up and she said she would put them in the same box. The same box. Sausage pasta and….I said please in separate boxes. I asked for the dessert menu, she slapped it down. We decided no dessert based on the vibe and I asked for the bill. She asked if it was separate bills, I was with my daughter, a child. I said no one bill thank you. When she came back I asked if it was rude to have ordered a spritz and she went on about how I could have had an aperol or a limoncello spritz. Then she stood over me with the machine. It was overall an unpleasant experience. I will...

Grilled Octopus, Beef Carpaccio, Gnocchi, Straccuatella de Bufflonne, Endives, Scallop Crudo . I have to say that towards the ends of our 2023 my fiance and I both agreed that @moccione.restaurant gave us the best meal of the year and our favourite special occasion dinner that we had shared together to date.

We can see why this restaurant is so critically acclaimed online with a 4.8 star ranking with over 640+ reviews all claiming as such. I had been meaning to try Moccione for a number of years now finally took the plunge for my partners birthday and we were absolutely blown away.

Located on St Denis street this restaurant has a feel of homeyness with a touch of eligance that has a nice and inviting atmosphere.

We wanted to get alot of dishes as it was our first time, the staff there were very knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell they've been there a while and stay for the good vibe. We got alot of there traditional staples like the Octopus, Carpaccio and Gnocchi along with some others that will unfortunately be gone one day and replaced with other amazing dishes.

Every course was honestly better then the next, leaving us wanting for more in every bite... We got a total of about 8 dishes that night and a couple of delightful and well balanced cocktails that still leave me speechless. The staff from the bar were also so friendly and really creative with there concoction! 😉

All in all a 11/10 FOODGASMIC 💦 would definitely...

My favourite meal in Montreal probably came on my last night. During my pre-trip research, Restaurant Moccione had come up a few times as one of the better restaurants in the city -- an unassuming spot in the PM's riding of Papineau. A bit of a subway trip from downtown, but I thought I would give it a try.

I'm glad I did. It's a small spot in a quiet neighborhood, tucked into a corner, but a cozy spot with an impressive walk-in wine cellar.

I wish I had come slightly hungrier, as the menu looked all good, but I did have smoked meat earlier in the day. So I decided to not go crazy and order a nice pasta dish: Agnolotti stuffed with beef, mushrooms, jus de viande, parmigiano.

It was truly excellent. Every bite rich and flavourful. The pasta cooked perfectly, the mushrooms delish, the meaty sauce rich and flavourful, the parm a nice bit of salt to complement. And it was the perfect size for my limited appetite.

I don't often order pasta when dining out, but pasta done right is a real treat and this...

I recently visited Restaurant Moccione on Saint-Denis Street with my girlfriend, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, which made for a very pleasant dining experience. We arrived just 30 minutes after opening, and the place was already full, which was a pleasant surprise. Fortunately, we were able to sit at the bar. We ordered two drinks, and they were excellent. The food arrived incredibly fast, within 15 minutes, which was a nice change from the usual longer waits. We placed our order with the bartender, who was also very attentive in providing suggestions for both drinks and food. Her recommendations were appreciated and added to the overall experience. We highly recommend the dishes we had, and I’ve included pictures of them in this review. The environment was charming and comfortable, making the entire experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend giving Moccione a try for anyone looking for a great Italian meal in a warm setting.
