The food is presented beautifully at Nemo's; it bowled me over when the hor d'oevres were brought in a double basket, one side full of ruffled lettuce and mint leaves, the other side, our won tons, stuffed with a super delectable super spicy-hot shrimp paste; or melon balls wrapped in bacon, yum. We only had 6 precious nights in Montrèal, we spent 2 of those evenings eating and drinking at Nemo. The curried salmon was our favorite. For desert, there is no flavor in the universe like the delicately deep fried banana with vanilla ice cream---spectacular! Writing about these dishes makes my mouth water! Sigh. And don't forget to have Nemo or the generous, kind Chau cater a cocktail to your taste. This family-run restaurant is a pleasure to be in both for the delectable food and the wonderful warm service. Read moreWe had a great dinner at this restaurant tonight. It was for a party of six, including two toddlers.
The wait staff was excellent. Marianna (I may have misremembered the name-- sorry!) was so accommodating and was attentive to our needs while eating (eg replacing utensils dropped/thrown on the floor by the aforementioned toddlers).
The food itself was excellent! The taste was great and the portions were huge! Mains are well-sized and the appetizers were also very generously sized. We ordered 4 mains, 2 salads, 6 chicken skewers, and the fried chicken appetizer for four adults and two toddlers. One main wasn't even touched at all and there were still leftovers to bring home.
I highly recommend you give this place a try. The star rating is well deserved.
Bonus is that it was happy hour today from 5 to 7 I believe and drinks...
Read moreExcellent! Hubby (who is a chef) and I wanted something un-average for our anniversary evening and Nemo did not disappoint. Glass doors open onto Prince Arthur for almost outdoor dining and on a warm, windy evening was super comfortable. The restaurant’s namesake, Nemo (owners’ son) served us and made our experience so pleasant and made great recommendations. The imperial rolls were incredible with an added flair/flavor of fresh mint sprigs. Presentation of all dishes was creative and enticing. The Tom yum soup was the perfect blend of heat and freshness. Hubby’s fried chicken was so good. Sound system and a great playlist were a welcome plus. On a final note : who knew fried bananas could ever be that level of...
