If I could give this place a 0, I would. I called to put an order in for pick up. They were extremely nice on the phone and told us that the sushi would be ready in 30min. We went to pick them up thirty minutes later and they were ready, but had to be put in a bag. I didn't think to double-check my order because they were manually entering each item in the cash register and I assumed that they knew which sushi needed to be in my bag. We arrived home and discovered that we were missing a box (1x Dynamite and 2x Vancouver). Although disappointed to see those missing, we thought "no big deal, it happens". That's where things went bad. I called the sushi shop and explained the situation. The lady on the phone said she'd go check. She came back on the line and said that they had given us the right order. I tell her that I am missing the sushi so there might have been a mistake at some point. Maybe they put one of the boxes in a different bag and didn't realize. She said she'd check again. She did and said that she remembered making the sushi I was missing and that it was not possible for me to be missing those. With my whole order on the counter, I insisted that it was obviously possible as it was the case. I had to insist that I was not lying about the missing sushi. Although she might've made the sushi, she wasn't the one who put them in my bag. How are you so confident that I am lying? Maybe that box was wrongfully put in another bag. She said to go back with my order so that they could check. I said that I would rather take a picture of the order and go after we eat as we were all very hungry after moving day. I also had a warm soup that I preferred to eat.... warm. She insisted that I had to go in with my bag at that exact moment. I repeated that I was pretty far (as mentioned, I was already home) and I would rather go back later. This was not my fault, I was very nice because I'm a patient person, this was wasting my time so I expected more leniency, and I am being called a liar. We head back to the sushi shop, order in hand. We get there, the lady I talked to on the phone quickly checks my sushi and gives me the missing sushi. Now, I am already frustrated because I had to insist A WHOLE BUNCH on the phone that I am not a liar. I would've given up if it weren't for the fact that they were already paid for. I didn't want to pay for their mistake after being repeatedly called a liar. So I'm frustrated and I go in, and the lady says sorry (mind you, this is the first apology we got) but this apology comes WAY too late. Not only did I have to go back, but I'm also being laughed at by two of the workers when I go in. Obviously, they don't have a single clue about what happened so I want to tell them why I am this mad. I have worked in customer service for 10 years, and I felt the need to explain myself. What happened? The laughing worker kept repeating "calm down" instead of listening to what I had to say, repeatedly cutting me off making it impossible for me to word my frustration. I am angry because I ordered these sushi. I paid close to 100$ for them. THEY make a mistake. I don't mind going back to get them later, but am instead called a liar and forced to go back with my order at that exact moment. The most frustrating part was being told to NOT EAT the food I paid for because of their mistake. I wouldn't even care being called a liar if I was allowed to eat the food. This was caused by a simple teeny-tiny mistake that could've been fixed immediately, especially with a client that really couldn't care less about these types of mistakes. The worst part is that until I left the place, the lady insisted that I was a liar by saying that "it's strange because I made it". I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying that although it was made, it never made it in my bag! I was not lying, FYI. Check your cameras before you treat your...
Read moreMy family and I have only ever had negative encounters with this location, they would typically forget items in our orders. On top of that, whenever we would go pick up our orders we would often see other customers complaining about something that went wrong with their order. Today, we had previously called to place an order for pick up (one hour in advance). When I arrived to pick up the order, they could not find it and proceeded to try to convince me that I must have I called the wrong location. When I proved that I had called their location, they then miraculously found my order and proceeded to make my order already 20 minutes after I was supposed to have picked it up. During this time we got no apology or update as to what was going on and finally, 40 minutes after my pick up time, my food was ready. Once at the cash, the worker proceeded to give me a very insincere apology and would not compensate me for my time. When I told him I would not be returning to this location given all our negative experiences he proceeded to tell me "that's ok". On top of all this, they still got our order wrong. So all in all I will be giving this location a 1 star for the terrible customer service and will be giving Sushi Shop St-Charles our business from now on. We understand that COVID is a trying time for all businesses, however, this is no way to treat your...
Read moreI placed an online order and prepaid at 3:00 PM for a 5:30 PM pickup. When I arrived at 5:25, there was a huge lineup, and I ended up waiting a full hour—until 6:30—just to get to the front, only to be told they hadn’t even started making my order yet.
It was Valentine’s Day, and I wasn’t the only one in this situation. There were at least 20 other people waiting, just as frustrated. Meanwhile, they kept taking more and more orders—online, by phone, in person—despite already being hours behind. I could literally see the orders continuously printing, and it was clear they had no intention of stopping. They just didn’t care.
At the end of it all, I had to cancel my order and go home with nothing, which completely ruined our Valentine’s Day. It was an absolutely horrendous experience. Looking at these other reviews, it’s obvious they’re fake—someone is clearly paying for them.
I strongly discourage anyone from going here. Save yourself the...
