Most of the food was really really good. I loved the Mongolian beef, the sauteed mixed vegetables, the pan-fried noodles with chicken and vegetable and the general tao (although very spicy). The general tao was actual thick pieces of chicken and the breading was crispy and not too thick. The Mongolian beef is not like PF Chang's Mongolian beef, but it's sauteed thin strips of beef with vegetables in a savory sauce. The meat quality was very good and the beef was tender and not at all tough. It was my favorite. The vegetables were crisp and tasty with a great variety (carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, baby bok choy, Chinese cauliflower, green beans and lotus root). The pan- fried noodles with chicken and vegetables had crispy noodles on top (like Chow mein) and they were still crispy when I got home even after driving 20+ min. Underneath was thinly cut bites of chicken and vegetables (the same as in the sauteed vegetables). The peanut butter dumplings were very small and a bit salty. The sauce portion was generous and it was topped with green onions. My 11 y/o son loved them, but they were just ok in my opinion. The shrimp toast was good, my husband loved it. It comes with a sweet dipping sauce. None of our dishes came with rice because we didn't order any combos, so we just made rice at home. The people who work there seem very kind, friendly and helpful. I placed the call by phone for pickup and the gentleman on the line was nice and patient and the woman who served me when I picked up the order helped me open the door and made sure I was able to carry the bag to my car. The only negative was that it was pretty expensive for the portion size. It cost more than my usual go-to Chinese restaurant and there's less food, but I'd still go again because the food is so good. There was also lots of paid street parking right near the restaurant. Even though it's downtown, it's on a road with mild traffic. Positives: Delicious food Fresh ingredients with lots of vegetables and good quality meat Friendly staff Ample street parking although downtown Negatives: Cost Smaller portions

The Peking duck was out of this world. It was a true culinary experience. The chef showed the duck first to the table whole, then proceeded to cutting it. 2 dishes were made out of it as in true Beijing style: the duck main parts themselves e and a second vegetable stir with the smaller part of the duck. Absolutely delicious. We opted for rice instead of the scallion pancakes as I’m allergic to scallion but this was our choice: they do offer the pancake to roll with the vegetables and duck as per the authentic experience. Amazing dinner would recommend 10/10. ❤️ thank you!

The best quality food, service and atmosphere you’ll find in a Chinese restaurant in Montreal. With the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and seating, there isn’t one bad table in the restaurant. Mr Ma and his team go above and beyond for their patrons. We ordered the dumplings with peanut sauce but I forgot to take a picture before devouring them up. I also recommend the general Tao chicken and fried rice.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friend and I walked in, excited to have dinner, only to be met with one of the rudest, most unprofessional owners I’ve ever encountered. We ordered dumplings, noodles, and two soups—almost $100 worth of food—but apparently, that wasn’t “enough” for her. Instead of serving us like any normal restaurant would, she refused to take our order, making it clear that she didn’t want us there just because we were young.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, she had the audacity to lecture us about how a business works, like she was doing us a favor by even acknowledging our existence. Newsflash: if your restaurant is completely empty during dinner hours, maybe the problem isn’t the customers—it’s you.

It’s laughable that someone this unprofessional thinks they know anything about running a business. The fact that she’s turning away paying customers while her restaurant sits completely dead just proves that she’s clueless. Honestly, we dodged a bullet—if this is how she treats people, I can only imagine what’s going on in the kitchen. Avoid this place...

We always have such a wonderful experience & tonight was no different. We ordered take-out which is always the best chinese food on the planet, in the Province & in Canada. We enjoy they source high quality products using only the best sourced meat, poultry & vegetables which create the most healthy, tasteful & delicious chinese food. A benefit for us is that there is no use of MSG as most chinese restaurants use & is difficult to find most anywhere other than Mr. Ma.

We find the atmosphere relaxing & fun as well as the wait staff are professional & are always extremely helpful when ordering & serving our food. I would refer anyone to this restaurant assuring quality, excellent wait staff, relaxing atmosphere & delicious chinese food. I cannot say enough about the wonderful food & staff at Szechuan par...
