Lov Mcgill Brunch Menu Review
For months, my wife and I have passed by Lov Mcgill, each time noting how busy it always seems. Its inviting atmosphere and cozy interior beckoned us, and we finally decided to see what all the buzz was about.
The moment we stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance immediately struck us. We were fortunate to arrive just before the rush, allowing me to snap a few photos of the serene and beautifully decorated space. But it wasn’t long before the place filled up, confirming its popularity.
We started our brunch with Americano coffees, served with soy milk on the side. The coffee was robust and rich, a perfect start to our meal.
For the main course, we ordered the Avocado Country Bread and the Chick'n Waffle. The Avocado Country Bread was a delightful mix of fresh, creamy avocado spread generously over a hearty slice of country bread, topped with radishes and a sprinkle of spices that added a nice kick. The flavors were well-balanced, and the dish felt both wholesome and satisfying.
The Chick'n Waffle was a standout. The waffle was perfectly crisp on the outside yet fluffy inside, providing a perfect contrast to the crispy, flavorful chickin. Drizzled with just the right amount of syrup, it was a harmonious blend of sweet and savory that left us wanting more.
Lov Mcgill lived up to its reputation. The combination of a cozy ambiance, friendly service, and delectable dishes made for a memorable brunch experience. It's no wonder this place is always bustling with patrons eager to enjoy its offerings. If you're looking for a spot that combines a warm, inviting atmosphere with delicious food, Lov Mcgill is definitely...
Read moreOne of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been to, my non vegan boyfriend agrees. While visiting Montreal on vacation, Lov was referred to us by many locals for my birthday dinner .We made a reservation and as soon as we walked in,we knew that it was the right choice. It was bright with beautiful Decor. We were seated immediately even though we were early for our reservation. Both the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. We decided to share plates so we could try more of the menu. I highly recommend doing this! We started off with drinks, a matcha sour martini and a pink everything which we both enjoyed. First we split the soup of the day which was lentil. It was the perfect start. The 2 appetizers we chose were the snails and the calamari which were nothing like we had ever had. FYi,the leftover butter from the snails makes a great dipping sauce for the calamari . For the main course we got the Mushroom risotto and the Lasagna which were delicious .They both exactly what I remembered them as since going vegan ,only better. Lastly,we had to try all 3 desserts which were keylime cheesecake, creme brule and a brownie with Macha ice cream and Berry Couli. both of us agreed that our favorite was the creme brule. The best part of our dinner by far was our waiter Felix. He gave great recommendations and was very attentive. He allowed us plenty of time to try everything that we ordered and never felt rushed but was always there when we needed him with a smile.Hopefully when you visit you will have him taking care of you . He made my whole birthday dinner a night I will never forget. Thanks Felix! Wish we could've made it back on thursday for the chicken...

Originally a 3.5, but with amazing customer service, I am changing my opinion. Would recommend going as if you are unhappy with the experience, they will make it right.
I went with some friends on Valentine’s Day for dinner at around 6:30 at this location. The service was impeccable, the waitresses were super sweet and friendly. We were seated at a very small table right by the door (so a cold chill every time someone opened the door) for 4 people, so it was quite difficult to eat comfortably (I did make a reservation).
Drinks (LOV sangria and the mimosa) were good, worth the price! Super light and refreshing. Now, for why the rating is so low - the mains. Two of us got the bolognese, one got risotto and the other a cheeseburger. Everything, other than the kimchi fries ordered as a side, was lacking flavour. The risotto wasn’t very creamy, the Caesar salad felt like there was no dressing, and the burger lacked taste. I have been to the LOV Dix30 location and had creamy risotto and amazing food so I was disappointed by discrepancy between the two locations. The bolognese was very good, though!
Overall, I would still recommend as it could just be an off night, but to read through the reviews before ordering (or maybe just sticking to starters/sides...
