We got unlucky and had TERRIBLE service.
We’re clearly not both fluent in French and we were never offered an English menu. The server never came by with coffee refills unless we waved her down. One of us was missing toast, one of us had overcooked eggs. These things are not a problem if the server checks in on how things are going once the food arrives. When our food arrived, we asked for ketchup hot sauce and jam, but she just never brought anything. We waited and waited while our food was getting cold. When waved at the server to ask her to come to the table so I could let her know what we needed, she literally gave me a “what do you want?” gesture from across the room. 🤦♀️ I replied with a “come here” gesture. When the server came to the table and I explained the situation. She apologized for the bad service and said she would talk to her manager about discounting the bill. Then when she brought the bill, no discounts. I just sighed and paid the bill.
When I reflect on this experience, I wonder if she didn’t talk to her manager about discounting the bill because she didn’t want to her manager to know that she’s not doing well. I suspect she has had to discount many bills. I should have insisted on the discount that she offered so her manager can know that she’s not capable of...

Service horrible.
After I made it very clear how I wanted my eggs and that I was pressed for time, my order was messed up. Because the server in my area did not come to check on me at all throughout my time there, I had to ask another server for help. Further, when another plate was brought to me by another server she was rude although I said thank you and I later realized she did not bring me a fork. Since the actual server responsible for my area ignored me although she was attentive to other people, which I did not understand, I got up and went to the kitchen area to ask for a fork. After I finished eating the server in my area packed up the remaining food for the people sitting next to me and did not ask me afterward if I was done - she walked away... she kept walking away after serving someone else nearby without checking in on me. So, I had to ask another server to help me. This server got my server who then brought me a container to pack up my own food instead of packing it like she did for the other people. I prefer to pack up my own food, but why the differential treatment? I left the restaurant very annoyed and had to rush to work because of all the unnecessary delays due to bad service. Read moreService was not good. Food was fine. The waitress was polite, but the manager and another person which was with her were not at all. They had a problem with the card machine, but we were not warned during the entry. When comes time to pay the waitress said to us that was cash only, and I could go to the ATM to withdraw the money. Long story short, the ATM got in an error, the bill was $60.53 and I got 40 from the ATM, I found some 20 bucks in my wallet, so I asked the waitress if that would pay. Before we leave the waitress came to say the manager did not accept 60 dollars to pay the bill of $60,53. So because of 53 cents, I had to go to talk to the manager. I explained the situation, and I am sure that in any other restaurant, they would understand and recognize their fault for not warning the client properly which was cash only, and even understand the ATM error. I asked them: all this because of 53 cents besides this was a mistake from your staff, and what they said to me was: "That's the price you have to pay if you want to go to a restaurant".
