Absolutely phenomenal experience at Tommy’s Café—this place is a gem that deserves more than 5 stars!

Let’s start with the food: every single bite was a masterpiece. From the perfectly brewed coffee (seriously, probably the best I’ve ever had) to the freshly baked pastries and hearty brunch options—everything was bursting with flavor and clearly made with love. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was flawless, and the portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft.

The service? Impeccable. The staff at Tommy’s Café are the definition of hospitality. Warm, genuine, attentive but never intrusive—they made us feel like VIPs from the moment we walked in. Our server remembered our names, offered incredible menu recommendations, and even gave us a complimentary dessert just because it was our first time visiting. Where else do you get that kind of treatment these days?

The prices are ridiculous for Alexis-Nihon. It's almost $6 for a latte, which is too expensive for the clientele and their coffee is nothing special. The sizes are not even comparable to Starbucks. At least with Starbucks, I can get a 20oz drink with free refills for $6 while you get a 16oz at Tommy Café.

The managers should kick out the students or make it an electronics-free zone like Le Petit Dep. At lunch time, every seat is taken up by a student with a 13+ inch laptop sitting there studying when there are several study spaces available to the Dawson College students at the college itself and the Forum. It’s hard to even imagine a worse place. Let’s start with the fact that the food is mediocre, which is why the price is overpriced, alas, I don’t understand, $20 for a sandwich.
