Came to this bar with my boyfriend on the first day of Mtl À Table unknowingly so it was quite busy. We ordered 2 drinks and a bunch of food to share. The waitress didn't provide us any plate to share or napkin like she did with all the other tables. We waited around for 30 minutes for the drinks to come. Then we saw tables that came after us got served food so we asked the waiter how much longer it was going to take because if they didn't get to our order, we wanted to cancel everything and just left. He went to check and came back saying the kitchen made a mistake and served our food to other tables that came after us and that they prioritized making food for the big groups now. He apologized and gave us some candies (?!) I saw another couple walk in and they got served good almost right away. The food finally came and they just had to mess up one order. It was not amazingly good either. You can get the same kinda dishes for much better service at Ramen Ya or Kinka. This is my 1st time coming here and it was very disappointing. I can't believe they straight out admitted they treat big groups of customers better than the smaller ones. In total, we paid almost 100$ for just 2 people. I think that's 3 times more than what they make with the same couple who ordered the Mtl A Table and they still somehow deserved better service than us. Definitely...
Read moreI walked into this restaurant on a non-busy weekday evening around 7:30pm, the hostess asked me If make an reservation, I said no. First of all, As an ramen restaurant that has super high table turnover rate, and plenty of seating space that fills two levels, do I really need to make an reservation on a non-prime time weekday? I have been to at least 20+ ramen restaurants in Canada, I never had experience of making an reservation for eating ramen. Then the host comes up saying these exact words “You two are gonna be seated right under the ac which completely blasts off right on you, are you okay with that?”. Basically giving us the worst seat in this restaurant when there are so many empty seats and tables available for two people. After we sat down, there were 4 empty tables in a row, and 45 minutes goes by, there are still two empty tables right beside us. I don’t understand the reason to be put on the worst table in the entire restaurant when there are plenty available seats. After we ordered, the appetizers came up after about 30 mins, and ramen came up after about 50 mins. Like for real it takes that long to boil noodles? Perhaps we speak English not French, therefore we get treated...
Read moreAfter frequently passing Tsukuyomi Ramen, curiosity finally led us through its doors. On arrival, we were greeted by an ambiance that was both unique and hard to capture in photographs, adding an intriguing layer to the dining experience. The restaurant was comfortably busy, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Seated on the second floor, the attentive staff promptly engaged us, offering detailed explanations of the menu items, enhancing our anticipation for the meal. Throughout our dining experience, the service was commendable, with our server ensuring we were well-attended to without being intrusive.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the ramen. Each bowl, seemingly modest in portion due to the dish's design, proved to be deceptively satisfying. The broth, rich and flavorful, stood out as a testament to their culinary skill, leaving us contentedly full.
While every aspect of our time at Tsukuyomi Ramen was pleasant and the service noteworthy, it lacked a distinctive element that would elevate it to the realm of the extraordinary. Nonetheless, the combination of delightful food, inviting decor, and earnest service culminated in a thoroughly enjoyable...
