Salon Guy Coiffure — Local services in Montreal

Back when I was a Concordia student, it was the most convenient place for me to get my nails done hands down (see what I did there?)

This salon is located in the Guy Concordia metro near the JMSB entry (On the other side of the coco bun). They do mostly haircuts and so I wasn't really sure they did nails. The nail part is in the back and is run solely by Mimi.

Prices are good, it cost me 35$ for the refill gel nails and I tipped 5$.

Mimi is great. She's really nice and efficient. She also has lots of colours! It took around 1h20 to do everything but that's only because she also had another customer to finish up before she could start with me (no complaints though, it takes me forever to choose a nail colour).

The process is the same as the other places I've gone too (removal of gel polish, shortening of nails and filling, more nail powder, end with colour).

I suggest you call and book an appointment if you're on a tight schedule because if she's already busy with someone, you'll have to wait.

I was recommended this salon by a friend and walked in on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy so they were able to take me. It was a dry cut and they spritz with water as they go and blow dry it out a bit at the end. Very efficient and meticulous. I got the haircut I wanted and the hairdresser checked in with me at various points. One plus of a dry cut is that I get to keep my glasses on and see. Wet haircuts are always a bit of a surprise because I can see nothing. They have a student discount so the total after tax for a ladies' cut-only was $25. Just note that they only take debit or cash. Well, I went to this salon on Monday, 6 Mar 2023,as it is near guy concordia. They were about to close by 6pm and i went there around 5.30pm. apparently it seems good that one lady and one men was busy with customers. suddeny one lady from inside came and after few minutes she started cutting my hair. I showed the sample photo of mine i wanted to look like. but she started doing in very rush, just holding my hair, trimming like a thrash cutter, uneven line, not focused on my required style, finishing was frustrating. She ended within 10-12 min not even properly clear hair from my face. my friend told me that my backside of hair was also uneven. overall very unprofessional.never recommend this...
