Great location for a summer hangout with friends, it's dog and kid friendly, too. Menu items can be a tiny bit pricey, but there are decent choices for everybody. The service can be slow and is in need of massive improvement.

It wasn't my first time at WILLS, but yesterday's experience left a sour note in my mouth:

We were a group of four. Getting the attention of any staff member took way too long when we arrived. There was a food pop-up where no one told us we needed to get up to give our order ticket to the organizer despite having directly ordered food through our waiter. We sat there for a while waiting for the food before we got up and asked about the process. And somehow splitting the bill became a massive headache due to the food order being mixed in with the drinks. We remained patient through the ordeal, but past the half-hour mark, we all finally got up to the bar to see what was going on, they were still figuring out the math. At this point, there were two staff members verifying the bills and they were less than patient with us when we had been waiting for a while to pay.

When it all got sorted out, we left feeling like we were...

We always love to frequent hidden local microbreweries and try their interesting brews but this really takes the cake when it comes to being inconspicuous. We try to avoid using the typical food blogger  term "hidden gem" but this one is just literally hidden. Low key inside and out, a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly service, a diverse crowd of mustachioed beer lovers and yes, many great microbrews that you can also purchase in cans to go. Delicious, very reasonably priced beers that can be consumed in high volume without getting tired or bloated too quickly. But if the hoppy bubbles aren't for you and cocktails are more your speed they also have a solid list of great cocktails...

One of Montreal’s best brewerie, they are a fantastic addition to our beer scene! This place has a cute little terrace and the friendliest staff. Did I mention they serve some of the best beer in town? Every beer is excellent, and a few are truly world-class beers.

The only thing missing is a gluten-free option on the beer menu. I know it’s not easy for a brewery to produce, but adding a few beers from Helix Brewery would be a great touch to the current menu.

Other than that, I have nothing bad to say, it is just perfect!

Keep up...

New guys in town taking over the old Alexandraplatz spot. Met the owners - and the doggo, the real owner of this place, very friendly. The guy at the tasting station/beer to go was really nice, very knowledgeable as well. The bar itself was nice, but darker than a Batman movie. I'm gonna need infrared goggles to hang out here. The outdoor terrace is great. The beers were excellent, I tried the pils - flawless, a pale ale and IPA, really good, if you're into the New England style. This place will be the flavor of the year, count on it.
