We have frequented this spot for over a year now. The food tastes great - one of the very few places you can go in New Glasgow to get something tasty to eat that isn't pizza.

There is one issue and it's a relatively big one - without exaggeration almost every single time we get takeout here they either completely forget to include something that we paid for, or they get part of our order wrong. Super frustrating and makes them difficult to recommend which is really unfortunate because their food really is some of the best you can find in Pictou county, and the staff are always friendly.

We have politely brought up the issue before and the staff were quick to apologize and even gave us a gift card for our troubles - which was super kind of them and unexpected. However, it has continued to happen with almost every order we have placed since then. Tonight I opened my takeout bag to discover that I didn't receive my drink.

I hope the owners are eventually able to make whatever changes are needed to fulfill orders more reliably because this is otherwise an...

Although I long known about Maple Cedar this was my first time getting take out there. I ordered the Lebanese Feast #1 and it was delicious, It included home made hummas with 2 pita bread, tabouleh, 2 lamb baaline and entire chicken shawarma platter. This truly was a feast, twice as much food as I could eat and all of it delicious. My wife had a donair poutine which heavy on the donair meat and more than she could eat.

I highly recommend this restaurant, it has good food with both local and Lebanese dishes and the prices are more than reasonable.

Update: I have now eaten at this restaurant several times and had many dishes, all of which have been delicious and satisfying. The Syrian Kitchen is a more recent development which has allowed for expanded hours and has kept the same high standards and...

We were three families from Toronto visiting PEI and Nova Scotia. We dropped by this place last week during our trip to Cape Breton Islands. After a long road trip we were welcomed and greeted and felt like home. The owner couple were very humble and it was a great experience to dine in.

We ordered a variety of platters, pizzas and enjoyed the meals. The serving portions were huge and very well priced. The taste was delicious. The falafel were crispy from outside and soft inside. The pizzas were enjoyed by both kids and adults.

Wonderful discovery and plan to stop again if we plan to visit this area. Thanks to the wonderful owner couple for their hospitality and delicious food and memorable visit. It was a pleasure meeting and talking to them.

Highly recommend others to try this amazing...

We found this open whiles driving from Charlotte town PEI towards Cape Breton and stopped for a quick dinner break. As we were getting delayed on the highway we called the restaurant asking if they would be open beyond their closing time, we were pleasantly surprised by their answer. They welcomed us and the food was so fresh and cooked with so much love and attention. This is a family owned restaurant and they treat each customer as guests, which is reflected in the food. I highly recommend stopping if pasing or in New Glasgow Nova Scotia. Thank you for serving us with so much love and kindness.

Stopped here enroute to Antigonish. Outside signage was difficult to read - skinny letters. Worth the stop. Very good wholesome food. Quite a lot of food. Excellent falafels. I did not try the pickels - watching my salt intake. The atmosphere is not inviting as it is a few boths and tables - ignore this and go inside and have some food. You wil not be disappointed. Know your menu items - what is (thermally) hot and not hot food. Friendly owners. If you not fure of something, ask.
