Hi paying customer here. I wasn't going to write a review until I seen another distasteful review. If you're having a bad day, fine. When it becomes a habit.. no thanks. I was waiting for my order. I ordered 2 drinks and a croissant thing. When I waited 15 minutes for my drinks.. fine. I told the lady that I also ordered a croissant. She had no problem and went to get it for me. Who I suspect was the manager was talking to the lady getting my croissant. I walked over to grab it.. thinking I was making their job easier as I knew they were busy.. The manager or who I suspect was, was extremely rude and questioned if I paid for the croissant Verbatim: did you even pay for that? In an extremely rude tone. I said yes, I have the receipt. Going into my phone to grab the receipt to show her. Her response was, no nevermind. Waves her hands in dismissal and walks away. This is extremely unprofessional and not only makes me as a customer feel very uncomfortable but I can also get the feeling that other employees are feeling uncomfortable and overwhelmed as well. The cashier reassured me that it has been a day already but if this is the way their manager .. is acting. I can imagine that every day is "a day" This is not a mentally safe workspace to be in and the franchise should consider retraining their management or consider other options for management. The staff members were all great but that one person whom I suspect is a manager created an unhealthy environment for her staff as well as guests. I found all of this all around to be extremely distasteful and unprofessional. The superstore Starbucks is the one I will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA few weeks ago, I had a very distasteful experience at the new Starbucks in New Minas. I debated whether to speak up, but Iāve decided to. On Wednesday, March 12, around 2 PM, I stopped by the new Starbucks while waiting for my bus and grabbed a drink. The next day, I returned and decided to sit inside and wait for my bus, which was due in 30 minutes. There were about eight other customers in the cafĆ©, including myself. Less than 10 minutes after I sat down, a manager walked over and asked, āAre you waiting on someone?ā I replied, āNo, just waiting on the bus.ā Without hesitation, she said, āIām going to ask you to leave as our cafĆ© space is for paying guests only,ā then walked away. I picked up my belongings and left seconds later. As I walked out, I overheard other customers reacting in shock: āDid she really just do that?!ā I should noteāI was the only Black person in the cafĆ©. For context, the day before, I had bought a drink and even recommended it to a friend. That evening, we returned and purchased three more drinks and a pastry. Interestingly, while we were there, a white man was sitting in the corner working on his laptop (NOT AN EMPLOYEE). No one asked him to leave. JUST SAYING. So to claim the cafĆ© is for "paying guests only" feels targeted, especially considering I had been a paying guest. Iām sharing this so othersāespecially Black folksāknow what to expect. If you donāt want to risk being embarrassed/racially profiled you might want to think twice about going to Starbucks.
(Funny enough it wouldnāt allow me to make a post without giving them a star, so I gave...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not even mad Iām laughing at what a mess this whole Superstore Starbucks is. the ābaristasā are like cashiers in disguise. Iāve had two experiences there and both times no one really knew what they were doing. I understand this is new but did you really not train these people? We asked for Matcha Iced Lattes, the guy wrote them on our cups, everything we wanted. One ābaristaā looked at our cups, stared at them for a few minutes and walked away. They couldnāt get the cups in order so people who ordered after you were getting their drinks before you were. Once our matchas were made they werenāt even made correctly. the ābaristaā only added one scoop of matcha (requires 3). The ābaristaā couldnāt read the cup and had to ask if we wanted milk in it, not adding any sweetener either or the extra shot of vanilla that was paid for. It was green water with milk essentially. I threw my drink out after a few sips and was too tired to go back and watch that whole mess go down again. The lady in front of us asked for a strawberry refresher, waited for over 10 minutes, was forgotten, had to ask them to make her drink again, and got a yellow drink, was told āitās the same thing just no fruit.ā LOL Wasnāt even the right colour. Iām not even mad at the workers, must be stressful for them and they should of been trained better, bottom line.
Compared to the service Iāve received at other Starbucks locations this was an extremely...
