Edo Japan — Restaurant in Newmarket

To be very honest, the owners here are gem of a people. I have been visiting there from a month. But, unfortunately, a doing my recent visit I came across a very rude employee. I won't name her. She asked for my ID as I used to get discounts on it.. never before that anyone asked for it. But, that was not an issue at all. When I showed her my ID it just slipped off my hand and fell in front of her. She thought I was being rude but I never even for once been rude to any of them. She in front of all the employees and some customers said that I was being rude but it was she being rude. And, when I asked for the manager to talk to she said the other girl saw that so, even if I'll complain it won't make any difference. I was really astonished by the negative confidence she was carrying. Even though the other employees were trying to take her away but she kept on speaking. That was really really bad on her part. The manager though understood and apologized but it was not her fault at all.. If I didn't pay for the order I would have gone out of the place. Since I paid for the order and had to sit there and eat it. While, I was eating, she was still looking at me with the look that U can imagine. It was seriously an ugly situation. I wanted to talk to the owners but unfortunately they were not there. So, I had a very bad experience there. And, I seriously do feel like going there, without having a word with the owners. Edo Japan is new in Newmarket and their sign just off the road caught my eye as I was driving by. As I drove back I decided to give them a try. Sooooo happy I did, I had such a great experience from the minute I walked in until the minute I left. Greeted as soon as I walked in the door, which was amazing as you don’t get that often nowadays. Employees were very friendly and helped me pick out this delicious bento box, which was soooo good. The employee who helped me brought my food to the table I was at, asked if I wanted chopsticks or a spoon and fork, just so kind. I had multiple employees come by asking if I needed anything, which was great as I could not finish this all so I did ask for a take out box. Food was made fresh and came nice and hot. I’m so happy I stopped in and gave them a chance. I will definitely be back and spreading the word to all my Bradford girlfriends! Such a great experience! Thank you...

Tried Edo Japan for the first time! It was honestly very good. The restaurant is kept very clean and the staff are very friendly. The portions are a good size and the prices are in line with competition. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box (it comes with two sides so I had the tempura shrimp and california rolls but there are other options as well).
