Iām writing to express my disappointment regarding an unpleasant experience I had yesterday at your Newmarket (Market & Co) location. As a loyal customer of over 25 years, I have always appreciated Starbucksā commitment to quality and excellent customer serviceāuntil this visit.
I ordered a Hazelnut Iced Coffee and requested it with light sugar. However, when I received the drink, it was far too sweet for my taste. I returned to the counter and politely asked a staff member named Parker if he could adjust the drink or add more coffee to balance it out.
To my surprise, he refused, stating that I had already consumed too much of it. I pointed out that the cup was still more than half full, but he accused me of adding something to make it appear that way. His tone was dismissive and condescending, and he laughed while asserting that he was the manager and no one else could assist me.
This kind of behavior is not what I expect from a brand like Starbucks. Spending nearly $8 on a drink only to be treated with such disrespect was both frustrating and upsetting. I also have a photo of the drink to support my concern.
I strongly urge you to take a closer look at how your staff are trained and how they treat customers, especially those who have supported your brand for decades. Experiences like this can damage the reputation of Starbucks and make it feel like just another low-tier chain, rather than the premium brand Iāve come to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām a Starbucks customer, this morning I was there as usual waiting for a friend, she arrived and immediately went to buy a bottle of water but they didn't have any. Since she didn't have any water, she asked for a glass of water and the cashier, a young woman with a nose ring, sent her to stand in line just for the water, to which my friend accepted without objection. When her turn came, the cashier told her that if she didn't buy anything, she wouldn't give her the water, to which my friend said, "Please, I really need the water, how much do I pay you for a glass of water?" and she gave her the payment. The young woman, with very bad behavior and in a very disrespectful manner, took the payment and asked my friend to leave with words and using her hand. My friend has a heart condition and had just had an episode a few hours before. She came back to the table shaking and when I went to talk to the young woman about her bad behavior, she yelled at me and between her and the barista they wouldn't let me speak. Then, to top it all off, they called security who came to our table to ask us what had happened š¤·āāļø what a stupid and out of place thing. Unfortunately, this is the image that Starbucks is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Irish Cream Cold Brew is an absolute favourite of mine and since itās a seasonal drink, a barista suggested the same type of drink but with vanilla in lou of the irish cream...FANTASTIC!! The only issue is that 90% of all Starbucks I visit, they donāt understand what I want and end up giving me all sorts of weird concoctions except this location. When explaining (sometimes several times) what I wanted, Kevin knew EXACTLY what I wanted and was great to have laugh with. Yasser made my drink and did it to absolute PERFECTION. Now you may be thinking āitās just a drinkā but like I said, 90% of the time is was not what I wanted after trying to explain it several times. I now go there because I KNOW it will be made perfectly and they both also memorized it so I donāt have to explain myself at all!! Iāve even sent my mom there and they knew right away who she was talking about when she ordered:). Kevin & Yasser - Thank you for being AMAZING at your craft and keeping one picky customer...
