Food and service at Chilli Lee is excellent. Have been there many times eating in or take out - I had always assumed we lived too far away for delivery (Deep Cove), but on this Friday night I had a craving, and didn't feel like driving to Lonsdale - so I took a chance and inquired and so happy to discover that for only $6 delivery was possible. I'm sure it would have cost me more in gas to pick it up. Thank you Chilli Lee, for making this happen - really needed a break and this treat after a very busy week! Family favourites include House Special Ginger Fried Beef, Mushu Chicken, House Special Chow Mein (Crispy), Cashew Nut Chicken. We tried the Orange Peel Chicken tonight and that was yummy too.

This place has traditional North American Chinese food from when Chinese food was economical and not as sophisticated as today. We ordered the fish congee which had a healthy serving of basa fish. We also ordered a single order combo of sweet and sour chicken and fried shrimps which was large enough for 2 people. Covid update: They're closed for dine-in but it's one of the best deals for delivery or pickup Chinese food. Now that old favorite Orange Door is closed, this is the new Go to. Update: They're open for dine in again

I would not even give one star but this is the only way to give the following comments.... The food was absolutely the worst and my not reading the reviews first, was a HUGE mistake. The food was as the others have said. what was written in the menu was not what you received. The chowmein tasted as though they burnt the oil and Never ever washed the wok! The sweet and sour chicken was like nothing I have ever seen. No sweat and sour sauce chicken is meat but there wasn't any in the crunchy freezer tasting coating(YUCK!) No meat in ANY OF the dishes. 3STAR IS A FANTASY star rating of the restaurant. I believe a 3 is because they have given them selves the rating trying to counter THE atrocious excuse for edible and safe meal. We ate a small amount of the meal for dinner last night and both of us this morning are still paying for it!🤒😦 The spring rolls were saturated shells that were refried so many times they dripping oil the paper towel they sat on were translucent! Good luck I hear the JADE ON Marine is not bad I think it will be a while before we want Chinese food again but we will try...

We ordered several dishes from Chilli Lee after comparing menu prices online with another close Chinese restaurant. They were about $5 less for nearly every dish but WORTH EVERY PENNY! Our order of 5 dishes was placed by phone with a very nice lady who totalled the bill which came to just over $70 so we were treated to free Fried Rice via the online coupon. It worked out to $20 per person and we had enough leftovers for dinner for two the next day. That's good value. The dishes were generous, flavourful and full of fresh ingredients. Lovely Ginger Beef; big strips, not tiny strings, packed with flavour. Sweet and Sour Pork was tasty, too. Singapore Noodles were loaded with veggies as was the Curried Veg. The Chicken w/Cashew has lots of big pieces of meat and tasty cashews. Bonus Chicken Fried Rice really rounded out the plates. We could have used a little bit more heat in the sauce, but, for us, better to err on the side of caution first time out. Our order was ready within 15 minutes and we picked up and ate at home. We will order...

I ordered takeout through skip the dishes so I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere, but I can unequivocally say the food is ‘average’. Not necessarily in a bad way, but knowing that other Chinese takeaways on the north shore do the dishes we ordered better. My boyfriend and I have been on a mission to try every Chinese takeout on the north shore, and Chilli Lee is the fourth Chinese we’ve tried. Sweet and sour pork and chicken wings have been our control variable, with chicken curry making a guest appearance depending on appetite. The food wasn’t bad, but the sauce was lacking. Additionally, I feel like both the S&P pork and chicken curry were lacking in quantity of sauce. At first all the dishes look generous but the quality of meat is lower (more fatty, more batter) and the chicken curry had a lot of chunky pepper, onion and celery which come across as filler vegetables. All in all I wouldn’t not order from here again, but it wouldn’t be my...
