Ming’s Garden in North Vancouver is an absolute treasure and a personal favorite of mine for years, not to mention my grandmother’s all-time top pick! Walking into Ming’s is like stepping into a warm embrace of culinary delight and genuine hospitality. The staff here knows how to make you feel like family from the moment you walk in, greeting you with smiles that are as welcoming as the aromas wafting from the kitchen. The crispy spring rolls are a crunch-tastic start, setting the stage for a meal that’s nothing short of spectacular. The sizzling hot plates are pure poetry on a plate—succulent, flavorful, and an absolute must-try. Every dish is a vibrant masterpiece, bursting with fresh ingredients and rich flavors that keep you coming back for more. Ming’s Garden isn’t just about the food; it’s about the experience. Whether you’re there for a bustling weekend dinner or a quiet weekday lunch, the quality and service remain top-notch. This place is quirky, cozy, and delicious—a triple threat that makes it the perfect spot for creating cherished memories. If you’re in North Vancouver, do yourself a favor and drop by Ming’s Garden. You’ll leave with a full belly and a happy heart!

Ming's Garden is just across from Capilano Mall on Marine Dr. in North Vancouver. We'd ordered some takeout food from here once before, and it was quite good back then. As we hadn't ordered from here in awhile, we decided to give it a try, just to have a bit of a change from any of our usual "go to" Chinese restaurants on the North Shore. Scallops with Snow Peas Deep Fried Fish Cod Fillet with Sweet & Sour Sauce Seafood Chow Mein (crispy) Shrimp Foo Young Unfortunately the food was not as good this time as it had been the last time we ordered from here. The main issue we found with the food this time was that much of it was too salty. Flavors and textures were fine, but the excess salt made it difficult to enjoy the food. Might be awhile before we try coming back here again. Service: Good Parking: Parking at rear, according to their website (I got dropped off and went through the front to pick up our food, so I never actually saw the rear of the restaurant!) Location: 965 Marine Dr., North Vancouver

I feel offended that this was called Chinese food. I’ve had better Chinese at a truckstop buffet the bok choy came in a bowl like it was soup wilted mushy soggy tasteless the chow mein was a bowl of glue hardly any bean sprouts few pieces of chicken and everything was too salty, the beef chow fun were cheap noodles in all little pieces once again very little meat full of corn starch a few pieces of onion very few bean sprouts three dishes $51. Also the chicken chow mein had two shrimp in it. I wonder if it was left over from somebody else I will never return. The receipt not itemized. I have no idea how much every dish was.

My husband and I went here for dinner this evening and we're extremely dissatisfied by our experience. I order ginger beef and specifically requested that it be mild . My husband ordered chow mein. My meal came and it was ridiculously spicy to the point that I could not eat it, they took it back to the kitchen and added sweet and sour sauce to it then brought it back and it was honestly inedible. My husband's chow mein had very little chicken and few vegetables, it was mostly noodles. It tasted fine though. When it came to pay they charged us for both meals even though one was uneaten and said well the sauce is pre made we can't make it less spicy! If I had been told that when I ordered I would have picked something else. Instead I confirmed three times that it would be mild and the waitress said "yes mild"! Very disappointing experience and not somewhere I would recommend...
