The design of the place is actually quite nice and promising, it gives a modern, stylish vibe that makes you feel it could be a great spot. However, the overall experience was unfortunately let down by poor customer service and average food.

The only person who seemed to understand proper customer service was the receptionist, who was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The rest of the staff seriously lack basic hospitality skills. One of the waitresses served us with a clear attitude, placing water glasses on the table as if she was annoyed to be there. There was no warmth in how we were treated at all.

When it came to cutlery, there were two of us at the table. One of us ordered soup first, so the waitress only brought cutlery for that person. When the second meal arrived, I had to ask for cutlery myself, they didn’t bring it automatically. I’m not sure if they expected me to eat with my hands or share with the person next to me, but it was quite unprofessional.

The Vaziri kebab itself was okay, nothing special. Not terrible, but definitely not memorable either.

At the end, when we asked for the bill, the waitress brought it over with a cold, unbothered attitude. I even said thank you after paying, and she didn’t respond or even look happy, just walked away. What really put me off was when I asked for the food to-go, and they gave me an empty box without a bag to carry it. Were they expecting me to walk down the street holding a box in my hands? I only got a bag after I went back and asked the receptionist, who again was the only pleasant and helpful person in the entire place.

In short, the place has potential thanks to its good design and the front desk staff, but the customer service seriously needs improvement, and the food quality could be better. I hope they work on training their staff and improving the...

We recently dined at Chelo, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Service: The service was impeccable. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive and friendly. They were knowledgeable about the menu, provided great recommendations, and made sure our needs were met throughout the meal without being intrusive. The food arrived promptly, and any special requests we had were accommodated with a smile.

Price: Considering the quality of food and service, the prices were very reasonable. It's evident that Chelo takes pride in offering great value to its customers. The portions were generous, and there were options available to suit various budgets, making it an excellent choice for both casual dining and special occasions.

Food: The food was the highlight of our visit. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell a lot of care and creativity went into each dish. Whether you're a fan of classic favorites or looking to try something new, Chelo has a diverse menu that caters to all tastes.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Chelo is simply delightful. The decor and live music is stylish and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. The lighting is just right, enhancing the overall dining experience without being too dim or too bright. Whether you're there for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a casual meal with friends, the atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your time.

Overall, I highly recommend Chelo for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The combination of excellent service, fair pricing, outstanding food, and a wonderful atmosphere makes it a standout choice.

We will definitely be...

This is the best persian restaurant I have ever went to in Metro Vancouver. Here's some facts to know about the restaurant.

Atmosphere:

Inside the restaurant is pretty simple with aesthetic floral paintings on the bigger side of the restaurant while on the other hand, they had a more modern area near the entrance. Also, the restaurant is right beside "Persia", a great persian supermarket so you can have access to buying your groceries.

Food:

When we ate our food for the very first time, I was shocked to see how tasty the food was. The food was placed in silver plates that reminded me of the food in iran and how they looked like. The food, incredible and I was so proud to see how much effort they put in their food; especially their lamb, super soft and tasty. Although make sure you ask for them to put the rice on a separate plate so that your rice doesnt contain all the oils from the food. Although we bough the "tachin" was a bit bitter and unsual compared to regular tachin and they are supposed to be sweet. I would recommend you biying the lamb instead. They had great prices, not too expensive, and not to cheap with less effort and they were all pretty affordable.

The service:

I am so pleased with their service and how each and every worker care for their customers. The last time we were at the restaurant, it was pretty busy and it took a while to get our food. Since it took so long, the workers provided us free soup for the inconvenience. This showed us that the service of thiz restaurant are caring and thoughtful to one another.

Overall, if you are looking for a great persian restaurant to go to or bring someone to, this is the right place to go to. Although, it might be far for some people, but it's worth it and...

My wife and I went for dine in this time after we had done take out from this place. Prices are very competitive to other Persian restaurants be it in North Van or Coquitlam or Burnaby. We have been to quite a few of them so very familiar with the taste. Ample seating area, good vibes, live music performance to name a few good things about the place. Service was decent but not a wow experience. We had to continuously ask for server to come by if we needed anything. Cleanliness could be improved! Now for the food which we are paying for, the amount of oil in Smoked Egg plant was shockingly a lot as visible in the two pictures. Great smokey flavor but hardly any eggplant flavor so that was very disappointing. Our main dishes were Vaziri and Logmeh Kebabs which was served quicker than expected ( that's great ) but, after first couple bites you can easily tell that the kebabs were just oiled/buttered up on grill and served, not at all a BBQ like experience where you can feel the freshness of kebabs. Also I found the taste of Vaziri (beef kebab) and Logmeh (beef and lamb) exactly same! Disappointing!! After that server never came to check with us for anything at all and apparently I had to stare at them to signal that we are done and ready to leave! After this experience I noticed that they have a 3.8 star ratings on Google which is very justified. I absolutely don't recommend this place as there are plenty of great options in North Van and else where.

A True Taste of Persia in Vancouver! We had an incredible dining experience at Chelo Persian Restaurant. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was spot-on and full of authentic Persian flavors. We started with Mirza Ghasemi, which had a rich, smoky grilled eggplant flavor—absolutely delicious. The Mast-o-Mosir (yogurt with shallots) and Salad Shirazi were fresh and perfectly balanced, but the star of the starters was the Zeytoon Parvardeh—so flavorful and addictive that we ordered a second bowl! For mains, we tried a variety: Soltani, Shishlik, Vaziri, and Ghormeh Sabzi. Every dish was exceptional: The Kubideh kebab was juicy and well-seasoned. The Barg (steak filet kebab) was tender and full of flavor. The Shishlik (lamb chops) was cooked perfectly. The Ghormeh Sabzi tasted just like a homemade version. Portions were generous, and everything was served with traditional touches that really brought out the authenticity. We ended with their Baklava cake, which was the perfect dessert—sweet, nutty, and beautifully presented. The service was also outstanding—our waitress was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a genuine Persian experience in Vancouver. We’ll definitely be coming back!

If you are looking for a place that not only serves delicious food but also treats you with the utmost respect and hospitality, then you must visit this Iranian restaurant! Of course, the star of the show is the food. The menu is diverse and offers a range of mouthwatering dishes that are prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients. From the flavorful rice dishes to the juicy kebabs, every dish is a masterpiece. One dish that particularly stood out was the Barg Kebab, which was slow-cooked to perfection. Other Baghalipolo with Gardan. The saffron-infused rice that accompanied it was the perfect pairing, and the portion size was generous. But what really sets this restaurant apart is the respect and hospitality that they show to their customers. The staff goes out of their way to ensure that you feel comfortable and satisfied, and they are always ready to answer any questions you may have about the menu or the cuisine. Overall, this Iranian restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone who loves good food and appreciates respectful and hospitable service. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back again! Thanks to Nasim, Mr. Behrouzi, and the crew.
