I recently visited La Dolce Vita and had a very unpleasant experience that left me feeling disrespected and discriminated against. I went with a friend and we both ordered 2 scoops — mine in a cup and his in a cone. My server (a young wasian girl) gave me one scoop, split into two small halves of different flavours, and tried to pass it off as “2 scoops.” She didn’t even properly scoop it, just threw it on and spread it out to make it look like more. When I politely said that this wasn’t the usual quantity I get, her only response was “well ummm… sorry,” which felt dismissive.
I brushed it off at first, but it became impossible to ignore when I saw other customers after me receiving full scoops in both cups and cones. My friend, who ordered at the same time, also got proper full scoops — yet we both paid the same price. It was clear there was unfair treatment. When I brought this up, I was told cones “get more because of the bottom,” which had nothing to do with my concern. I was talking about the actual scoops, which were clearly uneven.
Things only got worse when another employee (caucasian with braces, hair braided, blue eyes )stated something very unnecessary, came over with an attitude and walked away unprofessionally. Then the same wasian server called her supervisor or manager, twisting my words in front of her manager, claiming I asked for half-and-half, which was never true. When I told her not to twist my words, she just repeated herself. The way the situation was handled was rude, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional.
I’ve been coming here for years and never had an experience like this, but this visit completely ruined my impression of this place. If you don’t want to feel disrespected, under-served, or treated unfairly, avoid this stingy place and spend your...

"Our supervisor followed the correct protocol when taking a customers order."
This is adding injury to insult, what I understand is that your store policy is to force a choice on a customer and it does not matter what the customer needs. maybe in the past your service was good but not any more......
Not a pleasant experience, left with a bitter taste, did not enjoy the product on account of the bad experience with untrained staff. not a happy place, no greetings, felt not welcomed. Visited first time. Pay first which is fine but the machine ask for tip before being served (not sure if this is the new trend) as far as I understand tips are given according to the service as a gratitude after service has been provided and a tip jar should be placed and the collecting should be distributed among the employees. The supervisor was impatient kept asking for what size of serving and charged for the same, did not want to listen to the order . We had made up our mind what we wanted but felt pushed and was told "don't worry about the flavour tell me what size" but we did not want to be rude and said small, we wanted a Float and a Affagato and small serving of gelato. The float had the wrong flavour of gelato but my son with a good heart said "its ok never mind" . Felt like a favour was being done to us. Asked for manager but very arrogantly said "I am the supervisor". Asked for store owner but was told not present. I normally don't put up reviews but never have I had such a bad experience. Visited 5th July 2019 around 430 ish I do want to know what the owner...

The La Dolce Vita team lives up to their promise for everyone to leave happy. They invited me back to have Oakville’s best milkshake which was truly a kind gesture. I went back with my 4 kids, niece and cousin so it was a family affair and enjoyed every scoop! If you go there as often as I do (weekly 😊) I highly recommend being part of their points program so you can get a FREE MEDIUM (3 Scoops) every few visits!
So I truly love this place because it’s all vegan and I don’t have to double check anything. The flavours are all devious and I make it a weekly thing to visit with me and my 4 kids - so imagine how many scoops we go through in a season 😂. But I came by for our first visit of the season and I wasn’t feeling like having a cone so I opted for a milkshake.
I’ve had them before which is why I had no problem deciding. But when receiving mine, I was really disappointed. For paying $10+ on a regular sized milkshake you’d think it would atleast be filled to the brim. But mine was not even touching it, and it looks like it was just wiped down with a wet cloth.
I was with my daughter and we had to leave to head to another event so I had no time to say anything.
I’ve had their milkshakes where it would go past the brim and it’s so think it would just stay peaked and they would put the lid on. So you would understand why I’d be disappointed when receiving something not consistent with what...
