I came with my family on a family day and after I finished my order which is 2 can dine ( including 2: coffee, 2 BF sandwichs and 2 hash browns) for 8 $ offer from the app plus 2 med size salted cream chill for 4.06 $ and 2 donuts Boston cream for 2.58 $ I got charged 19.15 $ + Tax Even that the charge should be 14.64 $ + tax The cashier felt she made a mistake and gave me the items bill to review !! I also felt I paid more than what I should
When I went and talked to the manager ( short Asian Canadian lady with no name tag) she was rude and very insulting to me infront of everyone and infront of my kids She kept arguing that the system is right even though the mistake is very clear for any one who knows basic math , not for what supposed to be a manager.
And when I insist of getting things corrected she start raising her voice and shouting infront of others that I am trying to get a free coffee which is very humiliating.
She ended up giving me 3.50 $ in cash coins ( less than the overcharged amount) after 15 minutes argument and while she was doing that she made sure to escalate the humiliating act by shouting " I am giving you refund even though the system is right " and I replied no it is not free.
Even that the refund was not correct I chose to stop arguing where my wife and kids started to feel embarrassed. Its not the money, it's the principal that should be taken in consideration but with a person like that, it's a dead end if the can not even at least talk decent.
This is not the treatment we were expecting from what she call her self a manager of respected business like Tim Hortons. I have a copy of the bill and I am sure you have access to the system and the recording .
This is totally unacceptable way of being treated and I will be making sure to have this incedint being shared with my contacts and maybe I should even share it on social media because this is only translated as money theft and humiliating way of being treated
For anyone who reads this , my advice just go to another Tim Hortons branch with normal decent management who can provide you with good service and more importantly...
Read moreIt’s a extremely disappointing experience today. My daughter chose Black Forest Dream donut for herself from mobile app and she was expecting. There was a long line at drive through, however, when I got the window, they just told me that they don’t have Black Forest dream, and ask me to change to another one. We got strawberry fill instead of, and I just mentioned to them that the prices are different. I was hoping they just say yes, the price is different, sorry for that. Then I am ok. But the girl at the window told me that there is no difference with the price. I was confused. I told her that I know the price is different. Than another lady asked what happened, and that girl turned back and told her that I am asking for money return since the price is different, which I didn’t. And that lady than had a wired face and said to me in a tone of contempt “it’s only 20 cents difference, you want your 20 cents back?” I felt embarrassed by that question which actually I shouldn’t. She should be embarrassed by her question. But I said no, I just want to point out that there is a price difference, then I drove away. Then I checked my mobile app and found out it is 70 cents difference actually. I am really upset with their tone and words. If they just admit there is a price gap but they cannot do anything for mobile order, I would be totally ok. Read moreGave 1 star because I’m required to, I would give negative if possible. Today I walked in to the location and was met by no eye contact or interaction at all. Was waiting at the till while 10 employees worked/chatted behind the counter. You are required to call them over to get your order in otherwise you will be the only person in line with no service. Here’s the KICKER … when I was waiting for my coffee and a shot of espresso I was asked by an employee to go to the corner of the room and tell the man who is sitting and waiting for his order that it’s ready. I looked at the employee and her nine crew mates and politely said no thank you I do not work here. After this the manager Rhea called me rude and said that I was in the wrong. Other customers agreed with me and encouraged me that I was in the right. When asked to talk to the manager Rhea said she’s it. Telling her I’d like to make a formal complaint she said who cares and provided me no information. As I was walking out the store uncomfortably I was being mocked in Tagalog behind the counter.
