Our nanny came in with my children last week for their weekly play date. Our nanny ordered on the screen and after she got the order my daughter found that the order was wrong so she went back and politely asked for it to be changed.
The manager Suki came rushing to the counter and starts yelling at my daughter telling her that every day she sees her here with her friends stealing and lying about food orders. My daughter starts to cry and gets the nanny and calls me and I come in to the restaurant and the manager gets very aggressive with me and my daughter saying that she sees her stealing food wirh her friends all the time at lunch time. I explained that my daughter (11) is not allowed to hang around with her friends alone AND doesn’t even go to school in Oakville so maybe they are confused at the identity. When I asked for a video or photo showing me of the apparent claims against my child she could not provide one.
She argued with me for a good 10 minutes and berated my child in the restaurant saying that she “looked guilty” etc.
I left the restaurant and the next day spoke to the GM and asked her to get back to me about what actions they were going to take to resolve this. It has since been a week and I have heard nothing.
Don’t waste your time going to this location. I will be sharing my experience with all the families that I work with to avoid this happening to someone else. It is not a safe environment for children being around such unprofessional staff. I thought a restaurant that is at this high of a corporate level would at least appropriately train their staff to know how to deal with...
Read moreService is always fast, whether that be inside the restaurant or through the drive-through. I noticed that they prioritize people in time of order as opposed to just prioritizing the drive-through like SO many other drive-through restaurants. (Including other McDonald's too, which really aggravates me personally). The drive-through here is a 2-lane-that-becomes-one-merge and somehow this seems to work really well in terms of timely service. I've never had my order mixed up with someone elses' either.
Inside the restaurant, it is a very clean environment, consistently as I've visited this location once a week for the past 5 years. There is always
Whenever I do attend this location, it is midday therefore; I cannot speak to the quality of late night food, but they're food during the day is always fresh and my order is always on point.
Customer service is always friendly and I've personally never had any issues with a nasty employee or personally noticed any uncleanliness with any employees either (for example scratching their head or face then handling the food again).
They are practicing all of the covid 19 precautions and taking them seriously; this includes the one person per washroom rule.
On the topic of washrooms: Washrooms do include a baby changing station inside the larger, wheelchair-accessible stall. One thing I will note is that there are only 2 kinds of washrooms, male and female. It is lacking a family washroom and/or a non-binary...
Read moreI deliver with uber. On April 2nd, at 11:52pm I came to pick up 2 orders. Regular orders, nothing oversize, 1 car in front of me, so no line at all. I went to the speaker and gave the person my order number, instead, she said I'd have to text it to the number and wait for the response. This is the first time any mcdonalds in the GTA made me do this, and I've been through couple of dozen of different ones at least, normally once the clerk gets the order number(s), I simply pull up to the window and get it. This what should have happened this time, especially considering the fact that there was NO LINE AT ALL, but didn't.
After !15! minutes of waiting, at 12:08am I get the notification that the order is ready to be picked up. I obviously cancelled both orders at roughly 10 minute of waiting mark, because this is not how this is done. This is how it is done if you want your customers to NOT receive your food or receive it nice and cold. I drove for 6 minutes before arriving at 23:52pm, meaning both orders were at the employees screen for 6 minutes already. Why were the food orders ignored for 6 minutes? And more importantly, with no line at all, why did it take additional 15 minutes to prepare it? You think 21 minute is a normal time for the order to be on the screen in order to be made?
Train your employees or stop...
