Oakville Place is a small to medium size shopping mall. It has just undergone an extensive update and renovation, including the addition of a Starbucks in centre court. The upstairs food court offers Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Greek plus burgers, fries and smoothies and, of course, the ubiquitous Tim Hortons, which always seems to have a line-up no matter when you are there. One thing I find annoying is that you can go up an escalator to the food court on the south side, but have to walk all the way back north to the center of the mall to exit and go downstairs - there isn't even an elevator! Other stores include David's Tea and a fancy food shop, Pusateri's, that offers gourmet everything plus a huge Shoppers Drug Mart plus The Bay at one end. You will also find a Sephora and two levels of shops. The other large anchor store is in the process of closing (Sears) with deep discounts but the deals really aren't all that great...
Read moreI would like to write a good review for the Security Group at the Oakville Place. A few weeks ago, my car was parked at the mall while I went inside shopping. It was damaged by another vehicle and the vehicle left the scene. Thanks to the Security Guard who were on call that day. I cannot imagine, if these two young men did not take initiate to let me know, I probably won't know that there is video footage and probably have to swallow the car fixing fee myself for just parking at a mall. I really appreciate what they did there, and think this type of gentle gesture should be recognized and good reviewed. Thanks to the Security Group at the Oakville Place. I feel trusted ...
Read moreThe mall was okay pretty much a shell of its former self. There's some okay stores in it but I had a problem with a security guard. Was harassed as soon as I went on the main entrance. Was wearing a hoodie back in early March and was told that they weren't allowed in the mall because of previous crime. No where does it say that on any of the doors. Was also harrased to show proof of vaccination to shop in the mall.
I asked numerous times for proof of any of this and was told to leave or the police will arrest me. I politely asked for his name or contact info of a supervisor or who he works for and was told once again to leave and was trespassed from the mall. Haven't been back and from what I've seen and heard from other family members I don't expect this mall to be...
