For context, I come here pretty much every day with no issue, but I was heading into work and had a bit of a hic up in my order. The Barista who took my order was new and haden't told me they were out of the tea I had ordered. But let me know they were brewing a new batch. I was waiting for 45 minutes before I had to leave without my drink.
I am usually happy to wait, but I had other things to do that day.
Fast forward to the day after. I walk in and Tony, the Barista I usually interact with when I walk into this starbucks, greets me and the very first thing out of his mouth is an apology for the day before. I hadent interacted with him the previous day, and yet he still made It his priority to make it up to me. He took my order, upsized my drink and made it on the house.
I would whole heartedly recommend this starbucks, they really do care about their customers, they often have people in training, but everyone has to start somewhere and if you have a little bit of patience they will make sure you leave happy.
A big thank you to Tony, and the rest of...
Read moreLoveD this place 2 years ago. Service & MANNERS of baristas at this location have just gone south. I have one specific rude, sassy barista in mind - don’t want to mention her name here nor describe her but she needs to work on her attitude as someone taking orders at the POS. If you don’t understand the customer’s order please work on your tone and your choice of words. Do NOT give me sass. I deleted my 5 star rating from 2 years ago and rating this place 1 star for this barista’s attitude towards me today. Quality of coffee has gone downhill too. I was once a lead barista - I know how to make proper coffee. I may not know ALL your flavors but I know how to handcraft a coffee beverage, don’t answer my questions about drinks with such sass as if I don’t know these things. Doesnt hurt to be nice, maybe smile? & be respectful. If you’re having a bad day, don’t take it out on customers. If you hate your job so much then maybe… find something else that makes you happier? Read moreI normally love Starbucks, but I had a really disappointing experience at this Oakville location. I placed my order ahead using the app and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. I didn’t realize you’re supposed to announce that you have a mobile order at the speaker—an honest mistake, but the staff member who greeted me at the window was incredibly rude and condescending about it. Instead of politely explaining the process, he spoke to me in a very dismissive tone.
Everyone makes mistakes, especially with mobile ordering and drive-thrus being a bit confusing sometimes. A little kindness and understanding would’ve gone a long way. Really hoping this was just a one-off, but it left a bad taste in my mouth—especially considering how much I usually enjoy...
