TRU TEA | 初茶 Oakville — Restaurant in Oakville

BEWARE: first time coming here for my birthday treat and was sadly disappointed!! if i could i would have given zero stars.. I wish I had gotten my money back, I went inside embarrassed because I couldn't find the drink I wanted on the menu. I couldn't remember what they called it so when the cashier asked me what id like to order I described the drink she looked at me confused and then asked me if it was the lychee dragon fruit cream slush or whatever its called. I said yes, after waiting for her to take the persons order that walked in after I sat down to wait for my drink. She topped starting to make my drink to take their order, then goes back to making my drink. I went online to read what was in the drink because something was in my drink I couldn't figure out what it was at first. after reading online it says "Fresh lychee" well she put the whole fruit skin and all in there and it was scratching my throat and make me gag and throw up! I threw the whole thing out and for that price it made me really sad and frustrated that she could even serve me that. theres no way anyone would be able to drink what...

So excited to have a new, local bubble tea shop! They have a really wide, unique selection of drinks with options that are more traditional and options that are more Americanized so there's something for everyone. The shop is clean and quiet and the staff are super friendly and greet you when you come in. I got mango Trupioca (left) and a Tru milk tea with tapioca (right) to get a bit of variety, both were delicious and I'm excited to try some more of the funky drink options and toppings on the menu. Will definitely be a frequent regular here, and I look forward to being able to pop by to grab bubble tea while shopping in the area!

Really wanted to give this place 5 stars especially due to their superior ingredients— I was excited that they were finally open in Oakville— but I was not impressed with their drinks. I find the flavor pretty bland, especially depending on who is making the drinks. the milky ones basically just taste like sweetened milk. And compared to other places they don’t put many boba at all. 3 stars for superior ingredients and good customer service (polite, willingness to remake my drink for free), but minus two for lack of bold flavors, and being stingy on boba and other toppings. Price is also more expensive than other places, so I probably wouldn’t try it again unless there is a buy 1 get...
