Vereda Central Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Oakville

Considering the Oakville coffee scene, it's exciting to see a place roasting and selling their own beans. While it's not my absolute favourite, it's still a solid choice.

There are some nice Colombian single origins available in bags, but unfortunately not on menu. The menu is limited to their light, medium and dark blends. Considering that they offer hand brews, I think this is a bit of a missed opportunity to highlight their single origin coffees. I was informed that this is due to limited supply. Nonetheless I still wish this is something that would be considered as it would help showcase their offerings before committing to a full bag.

Additionally, I think the website could be improved with regards to information on their coffee origin. I think the information may have been on the bags when I was in store, but unfortunately, the photos online were lower resolution, so I could not read it from the picture, and the website description was lacking. I'd love for this information to be more readily available online as I find it exciting to learn about the origin, varietal and processing.

The interior has a typical minimalist aesthetic. It's nice that seating at the Kerr Street location spacious and has a few different types of seating options so that there is comfortable spot whether you're there to read a book, do some work, or chat with a friend. However, I'm not sure if it's my absolute favourite cafe interior design: to me, it's lacking a bit in terms of memorability, distinguishing itself from other cafe interiors. Albeit this is also subject to my own...

On the way to Hamilton so trying a few coffee places while passing by Oakville. :)

Found this from google so giving it a try, so this is my first visit!

The inside looks clean and has a nice vibe to it. The baristas there (Sat) is very friendly and I enjoyed chatting while waiting for my coffee!

Ordered a flat white and I am quite happy they let me choose dark/medium/light roast. Since I always have dark roast espresso for flat white so I decided to give a light roast a try. Taste abit fruity but yet still have a the coffee taste to it. The foam is quite nicely stretched and the latte art is still at the bottom of my cup when I finished my drink! 🙂

Since I enjoyed the Flat white, might as well try the v60 pourover… I selected bean that has the tangerine tasting note. The cup is quite balanced with the fruitiness/sweet/slight bitterness. A good cup!

I gotta say, the selection pastry there goes quite well with the coffee I ordered, at least to my taste. Multi-grain Crossiant to my flat white and the blueberries yogurt pastry to my v60. The pastry quality is average quality on what u typically expect from a coffee shop but I do find the pastry I tried this time compliment quite well with the coffee. Therefore 5 stars for this first time experience here because of that - mainly because I enjoyed my coffee at the end. 5 stars is not because of the pastry.

I for sure will come...

November 2024 Update

This cozy cafe run by hard working owners with a service staff that is friendly and efficient 👍. I have been here multiple times now and the service has always been with a smile 😊. My drinks and their addictive assortment of desserts and savoury treats should be criminal I say …. lol 😂

They get and deserve 5 Stars ✨ all every day of the week and twice on Sundays 👍.

I love a classic neighbourhood cafe run by hard working owners who deserve our support and 🫡. Because their servings are a labour of love.

And there is always something comforting and magical about a local cafe. A place where people can meet, sit and talk about anything and everything 😀. That feeling of warmth and familiarity is priceless 👍.

I ordered a London Fog along with a brownie and their best selling red velvet cookies !!!!

They are all highly addictive. So consider yourselves warned 😝.

The London Fog was expertly made and it was piping hot. Just the way I like it because many places only serve you like warm even though you requested extra hot … and I really don’t know why. But it was perfect here.
