A&W Canada — Restaurant in Ontario

Decided to try A&W for the first time as I heard amazing things about their onions rings being the best compared to other fast food chains in Canada. Upon ordering in the drive through, we had a difficult time with the worker. When asked to repeat our order, we had no idea what he said until our order appeared on screen. Even then, we had to make changes and confirm what we ordered.

When receiving the onion rings, on first glance, they looked amazing. They were extremely crispy and straight out of the fryer. It is safe to say they do use real onions, but the issue lies with the batter and seasoning. When biting into it, I noticed how salty the onion rings were. After two onion rings, I threw the rest out as the taste began to get bitter. My family felt the same way. I’m not sure if the workers over-seasoned it or if this is their recipe. If so, they definitely need to lighten up on the salt. Overall, will not be returning to A&W. Vastly disappointed to how bitter the onion rings were due...

My little sister & cousin had a very bad experience coming in in the evening. First as she was ordering she was asked intrusive questions (if she was alone, if her parents were around, if she was new to Canada) by the guy taking the order. She had to repeat her order multiple times to get him to start the order. She got a drink & dipping sauce for the meal she already had at her table, he charged her for both items and a full other meal. She asked why she was charged so much and he said "oh" and removed the charge. After she ordered, he would give her the items unless she answered question after question. My cousin went over because she heard my sister start raising her voice asking for her drink so she could leave. After, when they were eating their meal he came over to the table beside them, wiping the table and outright staring at my sister. It was so crazy my cousin started laughing. Unfair service for delivery, they keep lying to us , one minute and one minute and in reality they are not doing it because they serve drive thru first and walk in customer, every time I pick up in here I have to wait for the customers who ordered after my arrival to the store and serviced the food and then when the store in completely empty 0 customers , that the time when they prepare the delivery orders , that's unfair and bias, you need to train your workers to treat everyone the same and serve the customers according to first come first serve , walk in and drive thrue customers are not better than online customers and drivers , people should know that we are in Canada and everyone is the same here, the owner needs to take action and train the workers about people right in Canada and how to treat...
