I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the delightful treats from Boxcar Donuts in London. As they provided 300+ donuts for two separate events, Administrative Professional Day and Nurses Appreciation Week at LHSC. The morning of the event, I realized I had missed counted, I phoned Karri the morning of the event in a panic to see if they were able to accommodate an additional 30 donuts on top of the 300 ordered. She was lovely, and assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I must say that their exceptional service and delectable donuts left a lasting impression for me and our staff.
From the moment I stepped into Boxcar Donuts, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and displayed genuine enthusiasm. Their passion for donuts were evident, and they went above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience for everyone.
Now, let's talk about the donuts themselves. Wow! Boxcar Donuts truly knows how to craft the perfect treat. Each donut was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The variety they offered was impressive, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. From classic flavors of their always menu, like Glazed and Chocolate, Cinnamon Twist to unique creations like Salted Duluce de Leche, White Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Madagascar Vanilla Bean. There was something to satisfy every craving.
What truly sets Boxcar Donuts apart is the exceptional quality of their donuts. Each bite was a heavenly delight, with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The dough was light, fluffy, and oh-so-fresh, while the glazes and fillings were rich and indulgent. It was evident that great care and attention to detail went into creating these delectable treats.
Furthermore, their contribution to both the Administrative Professional Day and Nurses Appreciation Week events was commendable. The donuts were beautifully presented, adding a touch of sweetness and gratitude to these special occasions. It was clear that Boxcar Donuts understands the importance of celebrating and appreciating the hard work of these dedicated professionals.
In addition to their top-notch donuts and exceptional service, Boxcar Donuts also offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The shop itself is charming, with the organic minimalist interior design and comfortable seating. It's the perfect spot to indulge in a donut and a cup of coffee while enjoying the company of friends or simply savoring a moment of indulgence.
Overall, I cannot recommend Boxcar Donuts enough. Their dedication to crafting delicious donuts, coupled with their outstanding service and genuine appreciation for their customers, make them a standout choice in London, Ontario. Whether you're treating yourself or looking to make an event extra special, Boxcar Donuts is the place to go. I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Thank you again! Ashley B.

Read moreWell, my friends I’m here to tell you about Commonwealth Coffee Co., and do I have some words of wisdom for you..GO GET A COFFEE HERE!
The staff is always friendly and full of smiles and when you walk in the door, you know that the coffee your going to have is going to be phenomenal! I have passed here a few times before, on my morning journey and one day I couldn’t help but fall into the daze of the smell of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods..
So I meandered in, donning my face mask and preparing for a high stress environment as is typical of coffee shops it seems these days, and I was pleasantly surprised by being greeted with a smile and a friendly reminder (because I had forgotten) to use the hand sanitizer.
As if I hadn’t already been blown away by the way this coffee shop was different from everyone else, I decided I’d order myself a coffee (it was just the daily dark roast, I’m not sure which one it was to be honest) and a donut, to try what they had as I had never been here before.
The coffee was decadent! It was perfectly brewed, and just the right amount of cream and sugar, well stirred and not rushed or only 3/4 full (we all know what I’m talking about here..)
So I’m waiting for the donut I had ordered and I was told that they were out of them, and I’ll be honest I was a bit disheartened, but I was just about to pick a different one out, when another employee came rushing out with my donut, and handed it out, instantly making the whole experience even better!
If there’s a better customer service experience to be had, I’d like to see it, seeing as how the first time I walked in I was blown away by the coffee and the donut was absolutely amazing also!
I have since returned for a second coffee (I believe it was 123degrees longitude, a medium roast) and it was just as well brewed and non-rushed of an experience as the first time, and I will continue to return every chance I get!
Thank you, Commonwealth Coffee Co., for your excellent customer service, your unerring order delivery and the well rounded experience you provide, it is certainly very nice to have during such a...

Thinking the blend had turned due to an unwashed coffee maker or bad cream I asked for another cup and was shocked to realize that it was the coffee itself that had a funky and unpleasant flavour. The coffee was either too acidic and therefore old or poorly blended but very far from having any Christmas like quality. Interestingly the staff member I dealt with seemed altogether surprised I found the coffee objectionable which seemed disingenuous given the fact that the coffee was so acidic anyone who knows coffee would have had a hard time not knowing it had turned.
This blend was bad quality coffee ... unfortunately I walked away from the experience unhappy and left the shop abandoning the coffee after only a couple of sips due to its highly unpleasant flavour. Simply bad coffee. A coffee shop that charges top prices for its blends needs to discard old coffee beans or grind once it has gone past its expiration date without hesitation.
The high quality but absurdly high priced donuts coupled with the poor quality coffee and drinks make a visit here a bit of a gamble. You might get everything just right or you might get everything wrong experience wise along with a high price tag which rankles. Unfortunately an airy, modern and pleasant space cannot make up for bad coffee.
The staff here seem pretty young and are definitely not experienced baristas which shows through in the lack of consistency in the beverages and drinks. Experienced staff will go a long way towards providing a consistent and reliably pleasant experience for customers and it should be a priority for the owners and...
