Fanshawe Shawarma & Kabob — Restaurant in Ontario

Can't say enough good about this place! We went in with low expectations because we've not found a shawarma place in London in 6 years that met our expectations, but we've found a new home. We had both the beef and chicken shawarma saj and they're both amazing!! Nicely spiced with garlic and hot sauce, lettuce tomatoes, pickles and onions on a well cooked saj bread, the only complaint we had was that it was too much food for the 2 of us. The owner, Said was very friendly and took the time to talk to us, and actually gave us dessert on the house. The place itself is in a strip mall and not very visible from Southdale Rd, but once you find it, you won't forget the location.

I suggest you try it and you'll not only get a great meal but you'll be helping a new hardworking Canadian get established here in London. Thanks again to Said and we'll see...

Stopped on a trip passing through London on the 401. Looking for something other than standard fast food, we picked this place based on reviews. The best overall shawarma we've ever had which compelled me to leave a review. Hot sauce could be spicier. I noticed while eating they have a homemade hot sauce so I'll try that next time (I didn't specify). Seeing the chef in the back tending to the charcoal grill kebobs for other orders, I knew they meant business. Shawarma wrap and mixed meat fry platter we ordered were incredible. The portions are very generous; I couldn't finish my meal. I had a foot and a half long chicken wrap that was grilled perfectly. The chicken was great but i thought there was missing some kind a memorable kick (it did have hot sauce added) in the wrap; more lettuce? Idk. The fries were normal, no different from any other place. Super friendly people. I will definitely go back again. The desserts were scarce only 3 or 4 but they absolutely looked satisfying; I didnt have room. $20 with fries and drink. It was a great value especially considering the quantity....
