Farm Boy definitely stands out when it comes to quality. The store is clean, well-organized, and offers some of the freshest produce and prepared meals in town. Their selection of unique items, gourmet ingredients, and ready-made food options make it a convenient stop for anyone who values freshness and convenience. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and the overall shopping experience feels premium.
That said, the prices are noticeably higher than most other grocery stores. In some cases, items can cost nearly double what youâd pay elsewhere. While the quality justifies the premium to a degree, itâs definitely not the place for budget-conscious shopping or bulk stock-ups.
I would recommend Farm Boy for specialty items, fresh produce, or when you want to treat yourself to high-quality groceries or prepared meals. Itâs great for occasional visits or last-minute dinner solutions, but not practical for regular weekly shopping unless price is not a concern.
A solid 3 out of 5 for me due to the pricing, but the quality and experience are...

UPDATE::::::::::::
Here it is almost the end of 2022, I just did my last shop at Farmboy. I don't go often because I find most things are expensive, some things are worth the price but normal everyday items are too much. I purchased some things that my wife likes and made it through the aisles of unaware people that don't seem to care what or who are around them. I bought one of their paper bags, mistake, the cashier loaded it. I picked it up by both handles and was carrying it ty truck when the handles broke off, bag fell and the expensive egg nog that bought for wife, she says she prefers it but I have proven she can't tell the difference between brands, broke. Glass over everything in the bag. I put it in the bed of my truck to take home, wipe glass off everything before bringing it into the house. No I didn't go back in to buy another one, 7 bucks down the drain is enough. Suffice to say I don't think I will...
   Read moreI love farmboy. They are a bit more expensive as a grocery store but their deli section beats independents for quality hands down. They also carry golden beets - which tend to be difficult to find in cornwall.
They have wicked fresh fish sales often.
Who doesnât love a make your own salad bar?
They will sometimes have free samples at the deli and cheese counters.
They have the nicest and cleanest washrooms of ANY grocery store in town.
My biggest complaint is that they stopped selling sunflower kitchen pesto in lieu of their own store brand. Sorry but your version does NOT compare to theirs. You lose an entire star for that because you were the only supplier here. I bought one every week when we lived in Toronto and you broke my heart when you suddenly stopped carrying it. đ„Č
Still highly recommend them for sales and specialty items - just not for a full shop if you are on a tight budget. You can get better deals on meat and produce at basics and frills 90%...
