Bridgehead — Restaurant in Ottawa

I love bridgehead ! Their coffee is great and the food is delicious but at the McRae location I was really sad because I recently moved to Westboro with my dog. I loved how dog friendly the whole neighbourhood is! For the last few weeks I love stopping in and grabbing a coffee and treat when I’m walking my dog in the morning. The last time I went in , they told me I couldn’t bring my dog in! She doesn’t do anything other than sit next to me when I go In to order. I’ve seen lots of people go on with their dogs, including some of my neighbour’s in my building, so I don’t understand why all of a sudden they decided to change that.

There is a certain warm pleasantness, as soon as you enter through the doors.

I usually get either a Latte or a Cappuccino (to go) with cinnamon. The staff has a certain trick they do with the cinnamon that makes the coffee taste extra special.

I like that I can pick up a fresh loaf of bread (while I am on an errand run) for either sandwiches or Breakfast the next morning.

The pastries are delicious. I like the Cherry Lemon loaf and their Apple Cranberry muffin. The Jalapeno Cheddar or Raspberry scone are my go to.

I went in a couple of weeks ago to the new location and noticed a nice loaf of bread for $3.50. I went to the cash to pay for it and it came out to about $6.50. I mentioned to them that the tag pinned to the loaf said $3.50. They said it was a mistake and did not give it to me at that price.
