I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago as part of a tour group. Many tour buses seem to stop here because they offer a discounted rate for large groups. I understand that it is a convenient and affordable stop, and I appreciate that it can bring back memories for people who have visited in the past.

However, I personally had a disappointing experience with the buffet. As a proud Chinese Canadian, I found the food to be the least flavorful I have ever had in a Chinese-style restaurant. The dishes were extremely bland and lacked any seasoning or depth of taste. Unfortunately, I even felt slightly unwell afterward. While I cannot confirm whether that was due to the food, it did add to my negative impression.

I was also concerned about the hygiene at the buffet. I remember noticing that some of the utensils were not cleaned properly, which made me uneasy. Cleanliness is especially important in a buffet setting, so I hope this is something that has since improved.

That said, I do want to acknowledge that the staff were not unfriendly. My feedback is not about the service itself, but rather about the quality and presentation of the food and the cleanliness of the dining area.

If I ever return, it would be more for the nostalgia than the food. I truly hope that things have improved since my last visit, because I know many travelers and tour groups will continue to stop here. I believe with better seasoning, fresher preparation, and improved hygiene practices, this place could be a much more enjoyable stop...

One of the worst experiences I've had in quite a while, it is straight up embarrassing to bring your girlfriend or significant other here. Once entering the building my girlfriend and I was greeted by rude staff (maybe the owner?), we were given plastic take out plates and utensils for our food, something completely new to me for dining in. The food, to put it lightly, was horrible, not only was I served with a strand of hair in my food but it was clear that the restaurant had a insect problem, I saw some on the windowsill and even some underneath the table. I asked for a refund as this is not what me or my girlfriend was expecting out of a restaurant, I've seen fast food places have better service and appeal than this place, whoever is running the restaurant should get a reality check because this is not how you run a...

This is the worst chinesse restaurant I have gone to. My spouse and I went to the buffet to discover plates were dirty. We had to return 4 of them before finding one. Most of the trays were empty or barely had scraping in it for the exception of fish, noodles and a dish of green beans. We thought the cook would come and fill them up but he did not. When we asked the waitress said they served 100 Asian individuals and they were closing in 20 minutes. We even saw an Asian customer put her bare hands in the peach bowl laughing as she walked out to her bus. We will never go again... $35 for scraps and we had to pay as we dished out limited entry prior to realizing they would not fill up the trays. We waited 10 minutes to pay as only server was washing the toilets... yeah fortune cookies were handed to...

This restaurant is so great we went twice! We got a quick lunch one day and split General Tzos and garlic eggplant. It was so delicious and better than any other General Tzos I've ever had, it was freshly fried chicken with a light coating. The eggplant was amazing. We came back two days later and were lucky to get the buffet. It had a lot of options hot and cold, fresh and fried. Fresh vegetables, hot chicken, there was salted cucumber and whole fried fish!

Decent chinese buffet restaurant considering it is located in Gananoque, close to the 401. Average selection and quality of Asian style dishes, with french fries and ice cream. Also included in the price is tea, coffee and pop. I would recommend given the affordable price and decent selection. But if you're looking for good quality chinese food, a buffet isn't the place to go.
