Do not waste 2-3 hours of your life going to this Wild Wings. The hostess was the only person in the place that seemed to know what to do. Servers didn’t seem to know where their section was and when they happened to find a plate of food ready in the kitchen they didn’t know what the order was or what table it was going too. We had a server take our drink order after being sat for 1/2 hour and that was the last time she approached not only our table but any table. Was another 15-20 minutes before our drinks were served. After maybe 75 minutes I assume it was one of the managers came to our table and take our order as well as the table beside us. Then we waited and waited and waited. It was during this time that probably 45 minutes elapsed between ANY orders coming out of the kitchen to be served to the diners sitting. However, order after order after order came out in take out bags. The 2 people beside us that ordered the same time we did got up and left after being there 90+ minutes and they weren’t the only table to give up. The 2 men that seemed to be in charge each came to the table and asked us to be patient, which we had been, but it was becoming very frustrating. We are willing to give a new restaurant the benefit of doubt but these guys obviously have no food service experience. When the wings finally did come after 2 hours they were good but it was hard to enjoy after being there for so long and we couldn’t get out fast enough. And to top it off we had a server begging us to come back in a couple days and she would buy us an entree - very unprofessional. Had to give a 1 star to post otherwise...
Read moreThis place needs a lot of work. It needs to be tidied (I mean cleaned REALLY WELL to get rid of spiders, mold and disgusting washrooms), it needs more staff, it needs staff training and they need to stop hollering at each other across the restauant in any language. Your hollering overpowered and interrupted conversations at the two or three tables that were occupied.
There is not an abundant choice of places to eat in Gananoque, and this place was right beside out hotel. We ate there before when it was called something else and had different ownership.
Now, under this owner, there was only one server, who had little idea of what to do, when to do it and how to do it. She kept running to her husband (the only cook on duty) to find things out, like how to process a payment, when and where to seat people, and more. She seemed lost.
The food was nothing starry, and the portions were very small.
We ate, paid the bill, suggested she find some support staff, and left. We felt ill for the next day or so. Something wasn't right!
Next time, I am sure we can find a better restaurant somewhere in Gan, but they...
Read moreSo yesterday, May 15th, Me and my 4 other friends, after having a great time at the 1000 islands cruise, decided to stop by at this wild wings for lunch, which turned out to be the biggest mistake/disaster of our day.
The waiter who attended our table, a young chap, was really uncomfortable with us and not sure why and infact throughout the day his body language/ attitude towards us was not so pleasant, and not sure what his name was, but if u visit this place you ll recognize him, infact we even saw him being aggressively rude towards a female waitress over the counter, definitely not something that we wanted to experience when we go to a reputed dine in like wild wings, our mood was really spoiled after this unwelcoming experience, will keep visiting wild wings but definitely not this one in gananoque especially for that waiter, and the plant based burger was yet another disappointment to be added to our experience, wings and fries...
