Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ontario

Ordered on the app to pick up thru drive thru. Heard lots of hype over their chicken wings so wanted to try. Their coupons never come with a drink which is super annoying. The prices are high enough I’m not paying another 3$ for a drink. Pulled up to the drive thru at 1pm. Waited a few minutes to tell them my name. Waited 9 minutes in total to get my food. Saw two employees and a manager by the looks of the uniforms. They didn’t have any wings and asked if boneless was okay. I was disappointed but the frustrating part was I could see them making everything from the window. They assumed I’d take the boneless wings as they were already made before they asked me. Should ask first incase I don’t want them. They sauce the container first then put the chunks of chicken in then add more sauce on top. I got the honey garlic sauce. Onion rings for my side. When I was leaving I saw the inside was busy so I didn’t hold the wait time against them. The owners definitely need to look into having more staff or a better system tho cause people don’t want to wait that long for food. Took me 10 min to get home. Onion rings were soft and were hard to bite thru the onion you basically just ripped it out of the breading every time. The onion rings had no seasoning whatsoever as well. The boneless wings are spicy which I wasn’t expecting. Wasn’t super spicy but if you don’t like any spice at all don’t try these. The honey garlic sauce was one of the worst honey garlic sauces I’ve ever had. Service was friendly but other than that was a disastrous lunch. Won’t be back...

We ordered the family meal on the app, where 4 biscuits were included in the meal. Upon picking up our order we were told that they were out of biscuits, with me having to ask for them to replace it with another item. The employee was not going to offer the item. He then offered a regular side(3.29 for a regular side, 3.96 for 4 biscuits). I accepted the side and left with our order. When we got home, the fries from the meal were missing. I called the location and explained that the not only did we have to accept an item of lower value when they did not have biscuits, but we were missing our fries from the order. The person on the phone then went on to say that the biscuits, included in the family meal, were "complementary". The biscuits were indeed part of the meal and not "complementary", as the meal was described on their app. I enjoyed the food, but my mind is blown that they missed an item and expected for me to go back to the location after returning home to pick up my regular fries, and offered nothing for compensation for the missing part of our meal with the expectation that i would return in the future to accept a free fries. I will not be returning in the future, as I paid for these fries and they will indeed not be "free"....

I came to Popeyes in Gananoque on Saturday the 23rd. It's a new fast food restaurant in town so I thought I would check it out. I'm dissapointed that I did. I ordered my food through the app before 6pm and stated my pick up time of 615pm. I waited until 620pm until I pulled up to the drive thru. They seemed puzzled at my order, but told me they'd be on it right away. I sat at the window until about 635 pm as they hadn't even processed the order from the app. The wait wasn't even really the bad part, it's that the entire time I sat at the window with no acknowledgement and when they did hand out the food, there was barely any conversation, let alone an apology for taking so long.

The food was all there, although the onions rings were all completed mushed up and not crispy at all. The chicken was cooked well, but the food wasn't so good that I'll be heading back again.

The last point of notice was a gentlemen that worked here, in his uniform sitting on his phone having a smoke beside the drive thru. Not what I particularly want to see or smell as I'm picking up food from this place.

Overall, not an enjoyable experience especially with what the price of the food was. Stick with Grekos or Milanos for all your...
