Went here 2 weeks ago on Sunday for lunch was an absolute train wreck. First off we ordered our food and drinks.2 burgers a beer and cheddar dip and a beer and a water. When I got my beer it was not cold at all I let that go no big deal I guess. Then the restaurant is pretty much empty and they sit a couple right beside us where the long booths are with the tables and chairs which the couple also thought was severely awkward. We even all looked at each other and made joke about how awkward this was they even apologized that they had to sit right beside us in an empty restaurant. then we got our beer and cheddar dip which was the only thing that was good. then our burgers came mine was ice cold had to send it back. Which was weird because they both came out at the same time and the restaurant was not busy at all. So then my girlfriend is eating her burger it's so overcooked that the meat has crunchy spots in it it's so dry. Then I finally get my burger after waiting 10 minutes after my girlfriend's already ate hers and now she has to sit there and wait for me to finish mine and my burger is completely dry. I wanted to say something but my girlfriend didn't so I let him go then we get our bill there is no discount or nothing taken off for me having to wait for my burger because the first one was ice cold and having to each eat our food by ourselves. Then the server asks how everything was we told him about the dry broker and how it was crunchy in some spots and he tried to blame it on something else instead of apologizing we had to sit there and argue with him and tell him it was the burger it wasn't stuff on the burger the meat itself was crunchy then all he said was well hopefully it's better next time and walks away. I don't expect much from chain restaurants but I used to like jackasters it was pretty decent this is my first time coming in years and I was severely disappointed I will never be back again that was absolutely awful from the service to the food and the attitude and literally getting no compensation for any of it over $100 for lunch and this...

This is a shout out to Sydney (hostess) & Ally (food server). On April 17, 2025, I walked into Jacks London and was greeted warmly by Sydney. I explained I wanted to reserve a booth for my friend and me. She recognized concern on my face and asked if I was ok. I was quick to explain I was staying at the neighbouring Days Inn for the night which was in horrible condition. I was sad basically. Sydney looked to me with smiles and reassured me that my reservations will be ready and all will be well at JA. Later coming back , Sydney welcomed me back with open arms. She gave us a wonderful secluded booth. She took the time to sprinkle confetti on the table and party props (lei, fun glasses), to make it more festive and fun. The last touch was her personal message on the table reading: I hope this brightens your evening, written in crayon. I was almost in tears with happiness. This little touch meant so much to me and my friend. She went above and beyond simple hostessing duties, in our opinion. Next we met Ally. Super pleasant, informative and funny with alittle touch of sass. We loved her table side manner very much. She was very attentive to us. Never once did we have to ask for anything; she just always was there to give great service. My friend had ordered the steak which my friend is normally picky with. All I kept hearing from my friend , between bites was, “Wow this is just perfect”, “mmmm I can’t even get it this tasty.” He was so delighted with the meat he had to ask Ally to relay to the Chef how perfect it was. Compliments to the Chef! Then to top it off Ally got us a dessert to share, complimentary. I was just floored at her kindness. All I can say is Ally is sweeter than the brownie we had 😄. Last but not least, we spoke to a new manager of the location ( sorry forgot his name). Jokingly Ally said we had a complaint and we wished to speak to him. Mildly he came over and of course we just had to rave about the wonderful experience we had. Thank you to these people for a...

There was a group of 7 of us there for lunch. First off, when we arrived, the sound level was ok, but then they turned the music up way too loud after we had ordered. Had it been that way when we walked in, we would have left. We couldn't even have a conversation. My dad mentioned it was loud to the server but nothing changed. When the food arrived, my dad was disappointed that the 'mexican chicken bowl' was 75% rice. He is prediabetic and was hoping to eat mainly the other ingredients but there was hardly any toppings really. He brought it up nicely to the server and she IMMEDIATELY got defensive saying loudly "It's a RICE bowl". Well, it's not called that on the menu, it just says there is rice in it. He asked if he could possibly get more beans and less rice and was told he'd have to pay for it. He was not impressed, especially with the way she spoke to him and the fact this dish costs over $20. He wasn't asking for more chicken or anything pricey. She offered to let him pick something else. This made little sense to us. A whole meal wasted instead of just letting him have more beans when he's paying for a full table of lunches and some alcoholic drinks? Another server came over with a menu and let my dad pick something else. When it came time to pay, the server stood there with the machine but my dad wanted to look over the long receipt carefully first. He always does this, humans make mistakes and it's his right to see what he's being charged for. Instead of saying she could come back in a few minutes, she got very visibly annoyed when the debit machine timed out. He also couldn't see the receipt that well and asked if he had been charged for water. She pulled it out of his hands and pointed out it says 0.00. Just super rude. She only got a 10% tip when she could have had 20%, his normal amount for good service. My dad was never rude with her, just asked some simple questions, and when your customer is paying $250+ for lunch, just be pleasant, it's not hard. We...

First off, we have been patrons for many, many years. Never a problem . Then, 3 times at different locations in London and all were bad experiences. Even my husband was not happy and he never gets upset! So 3 strikes and Jack Astors is out! Service - Point blank, they rushed everything. & you could not have a conversation because it was so loud from music inside. We were outside on the patio We would barely have a few bites, and the next was being brought out, and this continued throughout the meal. They did not even take the plates or offer to pack up some of the food to make room on the tiny 2 seater table. They left us holding the hot plates with the next course and trying to figure out what to do or where to put it. We even asked to have our entrees later and they looked at us like we were asking for the world. Eventually, after we asked, they brought us a few take out containers so we could put our uneaten courses in ourselves. We left with 6 or 7 boxes of uneaten or partially eaten food. We saw bus staff more than our server Attitude of server Not good, it was rushed, abrupt, absentee minded and she tossed a "have a nice night "as she ran by (it was not even busy!) Not even holding the door open as I am an accessible person Food Soup - Fantastic Garlic Pan Brd - half the size, twice the price. Mine was à smaller than husband's. Flavour still great though. Lob & Crab Dip - pita chips and tortilla chips were cold & rock hard. Flavour of dip... great. Pad Thai was a huge let down, Again, half the size, twice the price. Food was cold, but flavour was good. Chicken Breast w Seasonal veg and smashed potatoes - chicken was ok, veg was great, potatoes...meh, sauce on chicken Breast 1¹was not good. Dessert was good, though the tiny brownie in a cookie was another letdown, unfortunately. Drinks - no refills or another beverage were offered. Pink Bubble Drink...very good 👍 Overall, underwhelmed with the food and portion sizes We will not be coming back

I received a 20% discount coupon in the mail, so I decided to give this restaurant a try. As a mostly vegetarian and a Muslim, I only eat Halal beef if I ever consume meat. To be on the safe side, I asked the worker, Justen (if I remember correctly), to substitute tofu for the chicken in my dish. I even mentioned that I was allergic to all kinds of meat. My daughter ordered a kids' meal—pasta with tomato sauce and a Sprite. First, the pasta was completely salt-free for some reason. As for the Sprite, it was disgusting! She took one sip and refused to drink it. I tried it myself and was shocked at how bad it tasted. I asked them to take it back and told them we didn’t want anything in exchange. Justen kindly offered to remove the pasta from the receipt, which I appreciated. The real shock came with my salad. I ordered a Caesar salad with no bacon and no chicken. The restaurant was dimly lit, making it hard to see what was actually in my salad. I assumed the dark bits were breadcrumbs and ate the entire thing. Only at the end, when I checked the receipt, did I realize they had added bacon to my salad! I was absolutely horrified. My main dish—pasta with tofu plus Mushroom- was fine, and the brownie was decent. But after this disappointing and careless experience, I left the restaurant feeling disgusted. To make matters worse, I suffered from severe stomach issues for four days after this meal. The overall atmosphere was awful—the music was loud and unpleasant, and the dim lighting made it difficult to see my food properly. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially those with dietary restrictions or food allergies. Thank God I wasn't really allergic or I could have ended up at the emergency.

Haven’t been to Jack Astor’s in a long time. Got a gift card for Christmas. Made reservations on the phone prior to going in, good thing because they were super busy. When we arrived the restaurant was Beautifully decorated, lots of Christmas string lights hanging from the ceiling. I know my son with anxiety would not have liked the lights as it was a lot. We however enjoyed them. We were greeted by a gentleman and taken to our seats. Our waitress who I wish I remembered to get her name was awesome. She was approachable , kind and patient. I was indecisive between a couple of things and she helped me decide by sharing her favorite out of the two. She also came back to check on us and make sure our meals were good and asked us if we needed anything. Boyfriend ordered a Blue cheese Buffalo chicken burger, with a side of fries. I ordered the Mushroom & Black truffle burger with a Pattie on the side.( it came with two which is one too many for me.) With a side order of fully loaded mashed potatoes. ( which as actually a baked potatoe cut up.) The chicken burger and fries were excellent. The fries were hot and crispy. The mushroom burger was really really good ! Although the flavour of the fully loaded mashed potatoes was really good it arrived cold and with the cheese not even melted ontop. It said sautéed onions, they were big and barely cooked. I did not complain because they were busy and it still tasted good. My only complaint was I watched those making drinks use their hands a lot without washing them. I watched one guy grab a handful of cherries , split them between 4 drinks , toss the remainder cherries back in the container and than viscously wipe his hands on his pants.
