Went here 2 weeks ago on Sunday for lunch was an absolute train wreck. First off we ordered our food and drinks.2 burgers a beer and cheddar dip and a beer and a water. When I got my beer it was not cold at all I let that go no big deal I guess. Then the restaurant is pretty much empty and they sit a couple right beside us where the long booths are with the tables and chairs which the couple also thought was severely awkward. We even all looked at each other and made joke about how awkward this was they even apologized that they had to sit right beside us in an empty restaurant. then we got our beer and cheddar dip which was the only thing that was good. then our burgers came mine was ice cold had to send it back. Which was weird because they both came out at the same time and the restaurant was not busy at all. So then my girlfriend is eating her burger it's so overcooked that the meat has crunchy spots in it it's so dry. Then I finally get my burger after waiting 10 minutes after my girlfriend's already ate hers and now she has to sit there and wait for me to finish mine and my burger is completely dry. I wanted to say something but my girlfriend didn't so I let him go then we get our bill there is no discount or nothing taken off for me having to wait for my burger because the first one was ice cold and having to each eat our food by ourselves. Then the server asks how everything was we told him about the dry broker and how it was crunchy in some spots and he tried to blame it on something else instead of apologizing we had to sit there and argue with him and tell him it was the burger it wasn't stuff on the burger the meat itself was crunchy then all he said was well hopefully it's better next time and walks away. I don't expect much from chain restaurants but I used to like jackasters it was pretty decent this is my first time coming in years and I was severely disappointed I will never be back again that was absolutely awful from the service to the food and the attitude and literally getting no compensation for any of it over $100 for lunch and this...
Read moreThis is a shout out to Sydney (hostess) & Ally (food server). On April 17, 2025, I walked into Jacks London and was greeted warmly by Sydney. I explained I wanted to reserve a booth for my friend and me. She recognized concern on my face and asked if I was ok. I was quick to explain I was staying at the neighbouring Days Inn for the night which was in horrible condition. I was sad basically. Sydney looked to me with smiles and reassured me that my reservations will be ready and all will be well at JA. Later coming back , Sydney welcomed me back with open arms. She gave us a wonderful secluded booth. She took the time to sprinkle confetti on the table and party props (lei, fun glasses), to make it more festive and fun. The last touch was her personal message on the table reading: I hope this brightens your evening, written in crayon. I was almost in tears with happiness. This little touch meant so much to me and my friend. She went above and beyond simple hostessing duties, in our opinion. Next we met Ally. Super pleasant, informative and funny with alittle touch of sass. We loved her table side manner very much. She was very attentive to us. Never once did we have to ask for anything; she just always was there to give great service. My friend had ordered the steak which my friend is normally picky with. All I kept hearing from my friend , between bites was, “Wow this is just perfect”, “mmmm I can’t even get it this tasty.” He was so delighted with the meat he had to ask Ally to relay to the Chef how perfect it was. Compliments to the Chef! Then to top it off Ally got us a dessert to share, complimentary. I was just floored at her kindness. All I can say is Ally is sweeter than the brownie we had 😄. Last but not least, we spoke to a new manager of the location ( sorry forgot his name). Jokingly Ally said we had a complaint and we wished to speak to him. Mildly he came over and of course we just had to rave about the wonderful experience we had. Thank you to these people for a...
Read moreThere was a group of 7 of us there for lunch. First off, when we arrived, the sound level was ok, but then they turned the music up way too loud after we had ordered. Had it been that way when we walked in, we would have left. We couldn't even have a conversation. My dad mentioned it was loud to the server but nothing changed. When the food arrived, my dad was disappointed that the 'mexican chicken bowl' was 75% rice. He is prediabetic and was hoping to eat mainly the other ingredients but there was hardly any toppings really. He brought it up nicely to the server and she IMMEDIATELY got defensive saying loudly "It's a RICE bowl". Well, it's not called that on the menu, it just says there is rice in it. He asked if he could possibly get more beans and less rice and was told he'd have to pay for it. He was not impressed, especially with the way she spoke to him and the fact this dish costs over $20. He wasn't asking for more chicken or anything pricey. She offered to let him pick something else. This made little sense to us. A whole meal wasted instead of just letting him have more beans when he's paying for a full table of lunches and some alcoholic drinks? Another server came over with a menu and let my dad pick something else. When it came time to pay, the server stood there with the machine but my dad wanted to look over the long receipt carefully first. He always does this, humans make mistakes and it's his right to see what he's being charged for. Instead of saying she could come back in a few minutes, she got very visibly annoyed when the debit machine timed out. He also couldn't see the receipt that well and asked if he had been charged for water. She pulled it out of his hands and pointed out it says 0.00. Just super rude. She only got a 10% tip when she could have had 20%, his normal amount for good service. My dad was never rude with her, just asked some simple questions, and when your customer is paying $250+ for lunch, just be pleasant, it's not hard. We...
