I previously went to Kelsey’s at adelaide and gammage and had terrible service - slow service, bad mood server, and food and beer that didn’t taste good.
Today, I went to Kelsey’s westmount on wonderland as well as yesterday. Here are my reviews.
Yesterday - I had a male server with ginger hair (I’m so sorry I don’t know your name). He was so wonderful, personable, and understood that we were in a rush at lunch between work and quickly got us fed and served. We were in and out in 45 mins, food was absolutely amazing, gotta try their chicken quesadilla. (Food only - yesterday - lunch time). At one point he came by the table to check in on us but I was taking a phone call and he was respectful and not offended, quick and quiet to leave the table. This meant a lot to me and it was clear he had extensive serving experience. Wonderful, give that man a raise.
Today - (food and drinks - today - between 3/445) I came with a friend for food and drinks, approximately 3-445pm. This time I got my servers name (Aggie). Absolutely wonderful. Got the chicken quesadilla once again, tasted great. Aggie was clearly an experienced and competent server, she quickly served us and was so personable and fun to chat with. Even when I went to use the washroom, Aggie saw me and made sure we were good (in case I was walking in her direction to approach her maybe). She was so bubbly and friendly. She truly made our experience a fun, friendly, and positive one.
Both of these servers really changed my perspective on Kelseys as I haven’t been in a long time - since my prior experience at gammage and Oxford.
I’m new to the westmount area and can’t wait to recommend all my friends join me here throughout the spring and summer as I really enjoy going out for food and will certainly be a returning customer.
Thank you both (I’m so sorry I didn’t get the males name) for making my experience a positive one. These large chain restaurants are so lucky to have these employees. I hope you both are here throughout the summer months so myself, my family, and my friends can continue to be served by such amazing...
Read moreFirst time to this particular Kelsey's restaurant. Not bad at all. Was around 230pm or so, not very busy there at all. Staff greeted us nicely and were very courteous and welcoming. We were a table of 6 plus a 5 month old. Our waitress Victoria was great. She was attentive and friendly, and she made our visit that much better. We ordered, then in about 25 minutes or so, our food arrived. Presentation was very nice and quite appealing. I ordered the All Day Breakfast Burger with a side of house salad and balsamic viniger. All washed down with an ice cold glass of Belgian Moon wheat beer. So good. The burger was quite delicious. It had bacon🥓, cheese🧀, a potato patty🥔, beef patty and tomato 🍅. I say beef patty and not burger, since the meat was smaller, like a "patty", rather than large and "burger" like. The potato patty was actually bigger. All that, then topped with a fried egg, full yolk ready to burst. It was delicious! It was quite tasty and in the end, a decent sandwich. I'd order it again. The house salad was more of a chopped house salad with some larger pieces of lettuce. It was really good and a nice change from the usual plain ol' house salad some places have.
My father in law ordered the Messy Fish Sandwich and although he did not appear through the roof, he said he liked it and that it was a good sandwich. My wife had a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and fries. She shared that it was ok, a 7 out of 10. The fries however, a 5 out of 10. They weren't cooked enough and were a bit soft.
The other folks in our party also enjoyed their meals. I'd have no problem returning for another meal. Not bad...
Read moreKelsey’s has gone more and more downhill over the years. The other night my friend and I wanted to enjoy some drinks and food on the patio, and the entire experience was disappointing. The spinach and artichoke appetizer (that we have gotten everytime we go for the last ten years), came with a small serving of tortillas to dip, so few that we ran out of chips to dip when we had OVER half our spinach dip left, when normally we finish the dip before the chips. When the waitress came by she asked if we wanted more chips for $1, and when we said no she asked if we wanted ti box up the rest of our dip because there was so much left… I refuse to pay for more chips to be able to eat my meal ive already paid for. Anytime before they would simply bring more chips… now you get less servings and they charge you for more? That’s pretty shady. And then the fish and chips I ordered were also disappointing. Bland with zero seasoning and flavour, and was completely over cooked. I even asked my friend to try my fish to make sure I wasn’t being critical, and she also said it was dry and not good. The fries have never been good since they’re clearly not made in house and are just frozen fries tossed in a deep fryer. Overall, everytime we go to Kelsey’s we leave regretting having chosen to eat there for dinner. Prices have gone up, menu options have gone down, they no longer have their weekday drink specials, and the food is never very tasty even when you get it. Wouldn’t...
